I started getting into collecting watches a while ago, and lately, I’ve been eyeing those Swatch Neon watches. They just look so cool with their retro 90s vibe.
I saw these on Swatch’s site, which has a few different models. The prices are all over the place, from like 20 bucks to almost a hundred. It seems like the average price for one of these neon ones is around 50, which isn’t too bad. I mean, regular Swatches usually go for way more, around 300 on average, so these are a pretty good deal, I guess. But I saw that some people are selling them online for even more, which is crazy.
- First, I dug around online to see what people were saying about them.
Apparently, they’re based on some popular designs from back in the day, which is neat. I watched a few videos, and some people were complaining that these watches tick really loudly, which might be annoying. I’m not sure if that’s a deal-breaker for me, but it’s something to keep in mind. Some say it could be caused by parts knocking against each other inside the watch. I’m not a watch expert, so I don’t really know if that’s true. Maybe I need to find a way to make it quieter.
- Then I checked out some online stores to see if I could find a good deal.
I found a bunch of them listed on different sites, but the prices were all over the place. Some were going for more than the official Swatch price, which seems kind of silly. And some sites looked a little sketchy, so I didn’t want to risk it. I ended up just ordering one directly from the Swatch website. It was the “Neon to the Max” one, and it cost me 150 euros. I don’t know if I overpaid, but I wanted to make sure I was getting a real one. And it said it was based on a popular Swatch from the 90s.
- Finally, I had to wait for it to arrive.
It took a little longer than I expected, but it finally showed up. It looks pretty cool in person, although the colors aren’t quite as bright as they looked in the pictures. And yeah, it does tick pretty loudly. I don’t think I’ll be wearing it to bed anytime soon. But overall, I’m pretty happy with it. It’s a fun little watch, and it definitely stands out. Plus, it’s cool to know that there are other people out there who collect these things too.

It was a bit of an adventure, but I’m glad I did it. I might even try to find some more of these in the future.
