Okay, so let me tell you about this little project I took on, all inspired by Priyanka Chopra’s Bulgari necklace. You know, the one she wore to the Met Gala? Yeah, that super sparkly, eye-catching piece.
It all started when I saw a tweet about it. I was scrolling through my feed, and bam! There it was: “Her USD 25 million Bulgari necklace will be auctioned off after the Met Gala.” I was like, “25 MILLION? For a NECKLACE?” My jaw literally dropped. I had to know more.
So, I did what any normal person would do – I went down a rabbit hole of internet searches. I learned that this wasn’t just any necklace. It’s called the Serpenti Aeterna, and it’s a big deal. It’s got seven pear-shaped diamonds, which, let me tell you, are HUGE.
- I read somewhere that the main stone, this thing called the Bulgari Laguna Blu diamond, is 11.16 carats. 11.16! Can you even imagine?
- Then I found another article saying it was actually 11.3 carats. Honestly, at that point, what’s a few decimal points, right? It’s still massive.

The Deep Dive

How long does it take to set them all? My mind was buzzing with questions. I found it was tough to get the answer, which was a pitty.
This whole thing turned into a fun little obsession for a few days. It just goes to show how a single tweet can send you on a wild goose chase. But it also made me appreciate the beauty and artistry of high jewelry, even if it’s something I’ll only ever admire from afar.
