Okay, so today I’m gonna talk about my little adventure trying to collect some cool pics of Karl Lagerfeld. You know, the fashion legend with the white hair and sunglasses? Yeah, that guy.
First off, I started by hitting up the usual spots—you know, the big stock photo sites. I typed in “Karl Lagerfeld” and boom, tons of images popped up. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through pages and pages of photos. I mean this guy is the icon of fashion, so there are many many pictures of him.
I filtered my search a bit more by looking for “young Karl Lagerfeld” because I wanted some vintage shots. And guess what? I found some real gems from the 1950s and 1960s. He looked so different back then! It’s like seeing a whole other side of him. I grabbed about 30 of these old photos. They’re definitely going up on my inspiration board.
Then I dug a little deeper, I found he designed some super famous stuff. Like, did you know he had a hand in those classic Chanel looks? And the little black dress, who hasn’t heard of that? Plus, the Chanel Hula Hoop Bag, the modernization of fur design, and the Fendi Baguette bag—so iconic! Knowing where he got his materials was also interesting. Apparently, a lot of it comes from China, Turkey, and Portugal, but I also saw some stuff made in Albania, India, Italy—basically all over the place!
I also wanted some of his famous designs pics. So I searched for Chanel, Chloe, and Fendi collections he was involved with. Let me tell you, his work with Chloe in the ’70s is just stunning, so flowy and romantic. I downloaded a bunch of those images for my “fashion inspiration” folder, haha. And his Fendi stuff? Total game-changer. He really shook things up there. And of course, I had to get some shots of his Chanel collections. The man practically saved the brand! His award-winning designs are just fantastic.
My Collection
- Vintage Karl: About 30 photos from the 1950s and 1960s.
- Chloe Magic: A folder full of his ’70s designs for Chloe.
- Fendi Revolution: Images showcasing his groundbreaking work with Fendi.
- Chanel Revival: Pics of his iconic Chanel collections.
By the end of it all, I had a pretty solid collection of Karl Lagerfeld pictures. It took some time, and yeah, there was a lot of clicking and scrolling involved. I saved everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, onto my hard drive, and it’s all organized now. It was totally worth it, though. It’s like having a little piece of fashion history right on my computer!
So, that’s the story of my Karl Lagerfeld photo hunt. Hope you guys enjoyed it! It is fun. Let me know if you’ve ever done anything like this. I’d love to hear about it!
