Okay, so, I saw this “LV Chair” thing online and thought, why not give it a shot? I mean, it looked pretty cool, and I’ve been itching to try a new DIY project.
Getting Started
First things first, I had to gather all the materials. I went to the local hardware store and picked up some wood, screws, and some basic tools. I already had a saw and a drill at home, so that saved me some time and money. I opted for some decent quality wood because I wanted this chair to last. It was a bit of a splurge, but hey, treat yourself, right?
The Process
I started by measuring and cutting the wood. Now, I’m no carpenter, so this part took a while. I double-checked all the measurements to make sure everything was even. “Measure twice, cut once,” as they say. Then came the drilling. I drilled pilot holes for the screws to make sure the wood wouldn’t split. Again, I took my time with this, and it was pretty therapeutic, to be honest.
After that, I assembled the frame of the chair. This was probably the trickiest part. Getting all the pieces to fit together just right was a bit of a puzzle, but I managed. I used wood glue in addition to the screws for extra strength. Can’t be too careful, you know?
Adding the LV Touch
Now, for the fun part, the LV part. I got some faux leather with the classic LV pattern online. It wasn’t cheap, but it looked pretty authentic. I carefully cut the fabric to fit the seat and backrest of the chair. I used a staple gun to attach the fabric to the wood. It was a bit tricky to get it smooth and wrinkle-free, but I think I did a pretty good job.

The Result
Finally, after a few days of work, the chair was done! It actually turned out better than I expected. It’s sturdy, comfortable, and it definitely has that luxurious LV vibe. I’m pretty proud of myself, not going to lie. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine, and I made it with my own two hands.
I’ve been using it as my main desk chair, and it’s been great. It’s a conversation starter for sure. Everyone who’s seen it has been impressed. I even had a friend ask if I could make one for them. Maybe I’ll start a little side hustle, who knows?
