Alright, so you wanna know who owns that Native deodorant stuff, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t no big secret. It’s like this, that fella, Moiz Ali, he started the whole thing. Yep, he’s the one who got it all goin’. Started way back in 2015, they say.
Now, this Moiz fella, he built up that Native brand pretty quick. Folks seemed to like it, ya know? Smelled good, and they said it wasn’t bad for ya neither. I heard tell it made a whole lotta money, like a hundred million dollars or somethin’. That’s a lot of scratch, even for them city folk.
But then, somethin’ happened. This big ol’ company, Procter & Gamble, they come along. You know, the ones that make all sorts of stuff, from soap to, well, I don’t even know what all. Anyways, they bought Native deodorant from Moiz. Paid him a whole heap of money, I bet.
- Moiz started it in 2015.
- Made a lot of money, real fast.
- Then P&G bought it.
So, now, Procter & Gamble, they own Native. That was back in 2017, I think. They been makin’ it ever since. And they ain’t just makin’ deodorant no more. I seen they got shampoo, body wash, all kinds of stuff now. Guess they figgered if folks like the deodorant, they’d like other stuff too.
It’s kinda like that time old man Johnson sold his farm to that big developer. He built it up nice, and then someone with deeper pockets come along and took it over. That’s just how it goes sometimes, I reckon.
I ain’t never used that Native stuff myself. I stick to my good ol’ soap and water. But I hear tell it’s all natural, made with stuff that ain’t gonna hurt ya. They say it smells good too. Got all kinds of fancy smells, not like that cheap stuff they sell at the dollar store.
Native deodorant, they started out sellin’ it online, straight to folks like you and me. But now, you can find it in all sorts of stores. Big stores, little stores, they got it everywhere. P&G, they know how to get their stuff out there, that’s for sure.
I also heard tell about another person, a woman named Jaime Schmidt. She was makin’ natural deodorant way before Native, out in Oregon somewhere. Portland, I think. But Native, they’re the ones who really made it big, I guess. Maybe she didn’t have the money or the know-how to get it into all them stores. Or maybe she just didn’t want to. Some folks are like that, ya know? Happy with their small business.
So, to sum it all up, Moiz Ali started Native, made it big, and then sold it to Procter & Gamble. And now P&G owns it and makes all sorts of Native products. It’s a simple as that, really. Nothin’ too complicated about it. Just rich folks gettin’ richer, same as always. But hey, if folks like the stuff and it works, I guess that’s all that matters.
And like I said, smells good too, from what I hear. Maybe I’ll try it sometime, see what all the fuss is about. But probably not. I’m too set in my ways, I reckon. Been usin’ the same soap for fifty years, ain’t no need to change now.
