Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole Taylor Swift and Gucci thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I saw online that Taylor’s been spotted wearing Gucci a few times, like that Gucci Black/Beige Mesh Corset Top and that mini Jackie Notte bag she had at the tennis event. So, I got curious and decided to dig a little deeper.
First, I tried to find that corset top online. No luck. It’s like it vanished off the face of the earth. But I did find some similar stuff, so that’s something. Then I went down this rabbit hole of looking at all the other brands Taylor wears. Apparently, she’s into Versace, Christian Louboutin, Stella McCartney, Ralph Lauren, Alaïa, and The Row. Talk about a fancy wardrobe!
Then there was this one outfit where she wore a matching set with a Fendi bag and these massive 6-inch Gucci loafer platforms. I did the math, and she must’ve been, like, 6’4″ in those things! I mean, I struggled to walk in 2-inch heels, so props to her.
But here’s the thing I realized – her stylist probably picks out a lot of this stuff for her. Or maybe brands just send her free stuff hoping she’ll wear it. That’s the dream, right?
My Attempt to Recreate
- Scouring the internet for similar items (since I don’t have Taylor Swift money).
- Trying to put together outfits that kind of looked like hers.
- Realizing that I don’t have the same body type or confidence to pull off some of those looks.
It was a fun little experiment, but also kind of a reality check. It made me appreciate how much work goes into looking good all the time. And how expensive it can be! I’ll probably just stick to my usual style, but it was cool to see how the other half lives, even if it was just through clothes.
Anyway, that’s my Taylor Swift and Gucci adventure. Not exactly groundbreaking, but it was a fun way to spend an afternoon. Maybe I’ll try recreating some of her more casual looks next time. Or maybe I’ll just go back to wearing sweatpants. We’ll see.
