So, the other day, I finally decided to check out those Lacoste fragrances that everyone keeps talking about. You know, the ones with the little crocodile logo? Yeah, those. I’ve always been curious about them, but I just never got around to actually trying them out. But I figured, why not? It’s time to smell good, right?
First thing I did was head over to the mall. I figured the best way to experience these fragrances was to actually go and try them on in person. I walked into the department store, and there it was, the Lacoste counter. They had all these different bottles lined up, and I didn’t even know where to start.
Choosing the Right Scent
- Eau de Parfum (EDP): This is the strongest type of perfume they sell, I think it contains between 10-20% of perfume oil. It’s a popular choice and I know it will generally last around 8 hours.
- 12.12 Blanc and Noir: These two seem perfect for winter. Blanc is supposed to be fresh and clean with woody notes, while Noir is richer with absinthe, chocolate, and lavender notes, it seems great for the evening.
I started with the one called 12.12 Blanc. I sprayed it on one of those little paper strips, and whoa, it was fresh! Like, really fresh. It kind of reminded me of a crisp winter morning. It had this clean, woody scent that I actually liked a lot. I thought to myself, “Okay, this is a good start.”
Next, I tried the 12.12 Noir. This one was definitely different. It was a bit warmer and, how do I put this, more intense? I could smell a mix of what I think was chocolate and maybe some lavender, and something else I couldn’t quite place. It was nice, but it felt more like something I’d wear on a night out, not during the day.
Then I saw this pink bottle called “Touch Of Pink”. I’d heard about this one before. A lot of people seem to like it. I gave it a spray, and it was super sweet and floral. It definitely had a feminine vibe to it. Not really my style, but I could see why it’s popular. It was like a burst of flowers and candy, but in a good way, I guess.
After trying a few more, I went back to the first one, the 12.12 Blanc. I decided to spray it on my wrist this time. You know, to see how it smells on my skin. I walked around the store for a bit, letting the scent settle in. After a while, I kept getting these whiffs of it, and I gotta say, I really liked it! It was subtle but noticeable. The woody notes mixed with something fresh, maybe citrus, I’m not sure. But it was good.
In the end, I actually bought the 12.12 Blanc. I figured it was versatile enough to wear every day, whether I’m just chilling or going to work. It’s not too overpowering, but it still makes you smell good, you know? And it lasts a long time, too. I sprayed it on in the morning, and I could still smell it on me in the evening. Pretty impressive.
I did a little research after I got home. And found out that Lacoste is a French company founded in 1933 by a tennis player, and they sell clothes, shoes, and other stuff, not just perfume. Interesting, right? So, yeah, that was my little adventure into the world of Lacoste fragrances. It was fun trying out all the different scents. If you’re looking for a new fragrance, I’d say give Lacoste a try. You might be surprised at what you find!
