Yesterday I saw the news that Dior has teamed up with Saks to do a big thing at the New York flagship store, called “Dior’s Carousel of Dreams.” It sounded cool, so I decided to go check it out in person.
First of all, let me tell you, the whole building – it’s a ten-story place – was covered in this crazy light show. I mean, they totally transformed the entire facade. It was wild, you wouldn’t believe it unless you saw it yourself. I was like, “Whoa, this is next level!”
I went there after dark, and let me tell you, it was a good call. The lights were shining and sparkling, and it was seriously impressive. It looked like something out of a fairy tale. I took out my phone, and of course, I snapped a bunch of photos – gotta get that content for my Insta, right?
Then I went inside, and it was like stepping into another world. The whole place was decked out with all these decorations. They had these flower things everywhere, and they had this star and a clover – apparently, those are big deals for Dior. They also had all these zodiac signs, which I thought was a cool touch. It wasn’t just a store, it was an experience. It felt like you were walking through a dream or something.
So yeah, that was my evening. I walked around, took a few more pictures, you know. It’s not every day you see something like this. It was definitely worth the trip. It’s always fun to see these big brands go all out. Makes you think, “What will they come up with next?”
They also mentioned something about this being inspired by Dior’s cruise 2024 collection. I’m not super into fashion, but I gotta say, if the clothes are anything like this display, they must be pretty amazing.
Here’s what I managed to capture:
- The light show on the building – It’s massive, covering the whole ten stories. It’s all sparkly and has these moving parts, like a giant clock or something. I got some great shots of that.
- Inside the store – Flowers everywhere! Seriously, they were all over the place. And those Dior symbols, the star and the clover, were pretty neat. I got a few pictures of those up close.
- The overall vibe – It was just magical, like I said. Hard to describe, but I think my photos capture it pretty well. It was like being in a movie or something.
The whole thing was quite the spectacle.
I mean, it’s not every day you see a department store turn into a piece of art. Dior and Saks, they really went all out. I had a great time, and if you’re in New York, you should totally go check it out. You won’t regret it! It’s not just shopping, it’s like an adventure. They called it a “Carousel of Dreams,” and yeah, that’s a good way to put it.
