Okay, so, I’ve been trying out this Burberry Brit Rhythm for Her, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. I’d heard some buzz about it – something about a “rock ‘n’ roll edge” with a “powdery softness.” Sounded interesting, right? Well, it kinda is, and kinda isn’t. It’s definitely not like the Burberry Hero Parfum which is hands down my favorite. I have a thing for colognes that build over time and that one does the trick. It’s just such a comforting scent, but sadly it doesn’t have staying power. Burberry for Men is also great when I’m just running errands. I’d heard that the Her Eau de Parfum is a British blend of crushed berries with violet and jasmine and rounded out with wood and amber. Apparently, it’s supposed to be bold and sensual. I’m not really getting that from this Brit Rhythm though.

First off, I went ahead and sprayed it on. Initially I smelled the lavender and pink pepper. It’s kinda different, not bad, just not what I usually go for. I also got a whiff of the neroli and maybe the orange blossom, but it was all mixed together, you know? I do love orris root as a note, so I was excited about the orris absolute, but I can’t say it stood out to me.
Then, I waited for it to dry down. I was hoping for more of that blackberry leaf note, but it was pretty faint. I could barely smell it. The peony came through a little bit, and that’s a flower I usually like, but it wasn’t super strong. I guess I thought this is a casual fragrance compared to other Burberry scents. I heard it’s actually geared towards a younger demographic.
- I kept sniffing my wrist throughout the day, trying to figure it out.
- I noticed the musky, vetiver base notes after a while, and those were actually pretty nice. They’re kind of what saved the fragrance for me, to be honest. It definitely has more of a musky dry down.
- But overall, it didn’t really blow me away. It’s not a bad scent, it’s just not…me.
Final Thoughts
So, would I recommend Burberry Brit Rhythm for Her? Honestly, it depends. It wasn’t for me, but if you like something that’s a little different, with a mix of floral and musky notes, and you don’t mind a lighter scent, then maybe you’d enjoy it. I’d say try it out first though. Get a sample or something. Don’t just buy a whole bottle like I did! It’s not terrible, but it’s not my new favorite either. I’ll probably just stick to my other perfumes for now. I’m still on the hunt for a go-to scent.
