Got an invitation to the premiere of “Bridgerton” Season 3. I was like, “Seriously? Me?” It’s not every day you get to go to something like this. So, I started planning.
First, I figured out what to wear. I don’t exactly have a closet full of fancy clothes for events. I dug around and found this dress I wore to a wedding once. It was nice, but needed a little something extra. I found this shawl that kinda matched and thought, “Yeah, that’ll work.”
Then, I started thinking about how to get to New York City. I checked some bus tickets and they weren’t too bad. I booked a round trip and made sure to pick times that gave me plenty of wiggle room. Don’t wanna be late, right?
The day finally came. I put on my dress, wrapped myself in that shawl, and grabbed the small purse I’d be taking. I got to the bus station with time to spare, which was good because I needed coffee. Badly.
The bus ride was pretty uneventful. I mostly just looked out the window and tried to imagine what the premiere would be like. I arrived in the city, checked into my cheap little hotel I booked, and took a quick nap. I needed to rest up for the big event, after all.
I woke up, got ready again, and took a subway to Alice Tully Hall. The place was buzzing! There were so many people, all dressed up and excited. I spotted some of the cast, like Luke Newton. He’s even better looking in person. Sadly, didn’t see Charithra Chandran, I heard she won’t be returning as Edwina.
We watched the first episode of the new season, and wow. It’s going in a totally different direction. There’s some new faces that are pretty interesting, but some main characters aren’t getting as much attention. Weird, but I’m still into it.
After the screening, there was a little party thing. I managed to snag some free snacks and drinks. Hey, a free meal is a free meal. I even chatted with a few people who worked on the show. They were super nice and gave me some behind-the-scenes stories.
All in all, it was a crazy experience. I got to go to a premiere of one of my favorite shows, saw some stars, and even got some free food. Not a bad day at all.
- Premiere events are way more crowded than I expected.
- Bus is really a good way to travel.
- Free food at fancy events tastes better.
- Even big shows like “Bridgerton” change things up a lot from season to season.
