OK, so, let’s talk about the Grammy outfits, right? I mean, the Grammys are supposed to be this huge night for music, but half the time it feels like everyone’s just tuning in to see what crazy stuff people are wearing. I started by looking at all the pictures from the red carpet. I just wanted to see who really went for it, you know, fashion-wise. There are so many photos online, it’s kind of overwhelming. I spent hours scrolling through the photos, there are some really crazy looks.
After that, I started categorizing. I made a list of the outfits that I thought were, shall we say, less than successful. Then I picked the ones that really stood out, like, the ones that made me do a double-take. Like Shania Twain in 2023, she was definitely a standout. I also remembered some outfits from years past, like Nicki Minaj’s crazy outfit in 2011. I mean, who could forget that one? It’s like burned into my brain.

Then I started looking for some data. There are a ton of polls and articles about the best and worst dressed at the Grammys. I found this one poll from Yahoo Canada, I think it was, where they got like 32,000 votes on the best and worst outfits. That’s a lot of opinions! There are also some really well-known performers who refused to attend the Grammy Awards, such as Sinead O’Connor. I gathered all this info and started putting together my own list. This took up most of my afternoon, to be honest. Finding the photos, comparing them, it’s a whole process.
My Thoughts
Honestly, it’s all subjective, right? What one person thinks is a fashion disaster, another might think is genius. But that’s what makes it fun. I mean, the Grammys red carpet is always a spectacle, and the outfits are a huge part of that. Some people were wearing these gigantic shirts, it was crazy! I do feel like some of the outfits this year missed the mark, though. It is really funny and a feast for the eyes.
So yeah, that’s how I spent my day, diving into the wonderful and wacky world of Grammy fashion. It was a fun little project. And who knows, maybe I’ll make it an annual thing!
