Alright, let’s talk about this Ricky Lauren, ya know, the wife of that fella, Ralph Lauren, the one with all them fancy clothes. I ain’t no fashion expert, mind you, but I heard a thing or two about her.
Who is this Ricky gal anyway? Well, from what I gather, her real name is Ricky Anne Loew-Beer. Sounds kinda foreign, don’t it? She was born way back in 1943, can ya believe it? Makes her an old hen like me, almost. She ain’t just sittin’ around pretty though. This woman, she’s got her own thing goin’ on.
They say she’s a writer, a picture taker – ya know, a photographer – and even a head doctor, a psych… somethin’-therapist, they call it. Fancy words for fixin’ folks’ brains, I reckon. She even wrote a book about them Hamptons, a place where rich folks go, I hear. “Food, Family, and History,” she called it. Sounds nice, though I ain’t much of a reader myself.
Now, how’d she end up with that Ralph fella? Well, it’s a love story, just like them soap operas on TV, but real life. See, back in 1964, Ralph, he had a problem with his eyes, needed glasses I guess. So, he goes to the eye doctor, and there she is, Ricky, workin’ as the receptionist. You know, answerin’ phones and such. But she was also a dance teacher on other days! A busy gal, that Ricky. Ralph, he took one look at her and bam! Love at first sight, they say. Can you imagine? Six months later, they got hitched, got married in New York City.
- Met in 1964 at the doctor’s office.
- Married in the same year, just six months later.
- Ricky worked as a receptionist and a dance teacher.
What’s she like, this Ricky? From the pictures I’ve seen, she’s always lookin’ classy, standin’ next to her Ralph at them fancy events, red carpets and such. But more than that, they say she’s his, what do you call it… his “muse.” Yeah, that’s it. She inspires him, helps him with his work, I guess. And she seems like a good woman, a good wife. They say the secret to their long marriage is bein’ friends. Well, that makes sense, don’t it? You gotta like the person you’re married to, not just love ’em.
And what about Ralph Lauren, her husband? Well, everybody knows him. He’s that big shot in the clothes business, the Polo guy. Makes them shirts with the little horse on ’em. Rich as all get out, I bet. But it seems like Ricky, she ain’t just livin’ in his shadow. She’s got her own life, her own interests. That’s important, ya know. A woman needs her own space, her own things to do.
So, there ya have it. Ricky Lauren. Wife, mother, writer, photographer, therapist. A real multi-tasker, that one. And seems like she’s a good egg, too. Not one of them stuck-up rich folks, I hope. She’s proof that a woman can be more than just a pretty face, even if she’s married to a famous fella. She’s got her own story to tell, and that’s somethin’ to admire, I reckon.
In short, Ricky Lauren, she’s a woman who’s done a lot, seen a lot, and seems to have a good head on her shoulders. She’s been with her husband, Ralph, through thick and thin, and they seem to have a real strong bond. And that, in my book, is worth more than all the money and fancy clothes in the world.
And that’s about all I know about Ricky Lauren. She seems alright to me.
