Alright, let’s yak about this Diego Della Valle fella. I dunno much ‘bout fancy folks, but I heard tell he’s a big deal, some kinda big shot in the shoe and bag world. Sounds like he’s got more money than hairs on a dog’s back, that’s for sure.
Now, they say he got this whole thing started ’cause of his daddy. Yep, his own flesh and blood. Guess the apple don’t fall far from the tree, huh? Like my boy, always tinkerin’ with them tractors, just like his grandpa. So, this Diego, he took what his daddy taught him and ran with it, made it somethin’ big, somethin’ people all over the world wanna get their hands on.
- He makes shoes, the fancy kind.
- And bags, them things city gals like to carry.
- And I hear tell it’s all made in Italy, which is supposed to be some kinda special.
I reckon it all started with them Tod’s shoes. Heard they got them little rubber dots on the bottom, makes ‘em good for drivin’ fancy cars. Not that I’d know nothin’ ‘bout that. My old pickup truck ain’t exactly a Ferrari. But them rich folks, they seem to like ‘em. And they pay good money for ‘em, too.
They say this Diego, he’s a real stickler for quality. Wants everything just so. Kinda like my old hen, peckin’ at every little speck of dirt ‘til her feed is clean as a whistle. I guess that’s how you get to be a big shot. You gotta care about what you’re doin’, even if it’s just makin’ shoes or purses.
And speakin’ of money, they say his company, it’s worth a whole heap of it. Billions, they say. Billions! I can’t even wrap my head around that kinda number. Why, you could buy every chicken in the county with that kinda money. And still have enough left over to buy a new tractor for my boy, and maybe even a fancy new stove for the kitchen.
This Diego fella, he ain’t just sittin’ on his pile of money, though. He’s always thinkin’, always plannin’. Tryna make his stuff even better, even fancier. He’s like a squirrel buryin’ nuts, always lookin’ ahead to the future. I guess that’s how you stay on top in this world. You gotta keep movin’, keep hustlin’, keep them shoes and bags comin’.
And it ain’t just him, neither. He’s got a whole family workin’ with him. Kids, grandkids, maybe even a cousin or two. They all workin’ together, keepin’ that shoe and bag business goin’. Kinda like us on the farm. Everybody pitches in, everybody does their part. That’s how you get things done.
They had some kinda fashion show in Milan, Italy. Milan! That’s a long ways from here. I reckon they showed off all their new shoes and bags. Models walkin’ around in fancy clothes, folks clappin’ and cheerin’. It’s a whole different world than mine, that’s for sure. But I guess somebody’s gotta make them fancy things for them fancy folks.
And lemme tell ya, these Golden Retrievers, they sound like good dogs. Runnin’ around, havin’ a good ol’ time. Reminds me of my old Blue, used to chase squirrels all day long. Good dogs are a blessin’, I tell ya. They don’t care if you’re rich or poor, they just love ya no matter what. Maybe this Diego fella feels the same way about his dogs as I felt about Blue.
Oh, and this fancy French company, LVMH, they bought a bunch of Diego’s company shares. Sounds like a big deal, folks sayin’ LVMH is a big shot in the fancy stuff world, too. So, they must see somethin’ special in Diego and his shoes and bags. It’s all just numbers to me, but if they’re happy, I’m happy. More power to ’em, I say.
So, that’s the story of Diego Della Valle, as best as I can tell it. He’s a man who took what his daddy taught him and built it into somethin’ big. He makes shoes and bags for rich folks, and he’s got more money than he knows what to do with. But at the end of the day, he’s just a fella who loves his dogs and his family. And maybe that’s all that really matters. And they say he’s real proud of that “Made in Italy” thing, puts it right on his stuff. Like puttin’ your name on a prize-winning pumpkin at the county fair, I reckon.
Diego Della Valle, the shoe and bag man. Remember that name. You might not be able to afford his stuff, but you can still admire his hard work and his dedication. And now, I gotta go feed them chickens.
