Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this thing called a “Baby Phat RushCard.” I’d heard about it a while back and, you know, curiosity got the better of me. I decided to give it a shot and see what all the fuss was about.

First things first, I had to actually get the card. Turns out, it’s a prepaid Visa, which I guess makes sense. Not like I was expecting a full-blown credit card or anything. Anyway, I applied for it, and it arrived in the mail in a few days. It’s this pink thing, which, to be honest, isn’t really my style, but whatever. I think there’s a black version too, called the “RushCard,” but I ended up with the pink one.
Once I had the card, I activated it. Pretty straightforward process, nothing too complicated there. Then came the part where I had to put some money on it. I mean, it’s a prepaid card, so obviously, it’s not going to magically have money on it. I loaded it up with some cash, just to try it out, you know? Did some online stuff, it’s supposed to work anywhere that takes Visa debit cards. That part seems to work fine. I’ve bought a few things online, and there have been no problems with it so far.
I also tried using it in a couple of stores. Again, no issues. It works just like any other debit card, at least from what I can tell. One thing I noticed is that they say you can set up direct deposit with it. I haven’t tried that yet, but I might look into it later. I guess it could be useful if you want your paycheck to go directly onto the card, although I already have a bank account for that.
So, I’ve been using this Baby Phat card for a little bit now, and it’s been… well, it’s been okay. It does what it’s supposed to do. I haven’t run into any major problems or anything like that.
All in all, it’s a pretty basic prepaid card. There’s nothing really special about it, aside from maybe the whole “Baby Phat” branding, which I guess some people might be into. For me, it’s just another way to pay for stuff.

Here’s the breakdown of what I did:
- Applied for the Baby Phat RushCard.
- Received the card in the mail (it’s pink!).
- Activated the card.
- Loaded money onto the card.
- Used it to make purchases online and in stores.
- Noticed the direct deposit option, but haven’t tried it yet.
Final Thoughts
It works as advertised. It’s not going to change your life or anything, but if you need a prepaid Visa card, this one seems to do the job just fine. I’ll probably keep using it for a while, just to see if anything comes up. But so far, so good, I suppose.
