So, I was messing around the other day, trying to figure out what a bean-shaped head would actually look like. I mean, we hear the term “bean-shaped” thrown around, but what does that really mean in terms of, you know, a head?
First, I started by looking up some definitions online. What does bean-shaped even mean? Apparently, it is shaped like a kidney bean, you know, curved and rounded. Okay, got it.
Then I grabbed some clay and started sculpting. I figured, why not try to make one myself? I am not an artist, but it seemed like a fun little project. I have this stainless steel kitchenware, and the surface is really smooth, which gave me an idea.
- I rolled out the clay into a basic head shape.
- Then I tried to make it curve like a bean, kind of indented on one side.
It is harder than it looks! Getting the proportions right and making it look like an actual head and not just a lumpy blob took some time. I also studied flashcards that contain many shapes and words. I even found some audio sculpting tools online. They are pretty cool for shaping sounds, but I thought maybe the idea could apply to my clay head.
Experimenting with Features
After I got the basic bean shape down, I started adding features. I am not gonna lie, it looked pretty weird at first. I added some almond-shaped eyes, which actually looked kind of cool against the curved head. I kept the other features pretty simple, a small nose, and a simple mouth.
I also played around with different sizes. A smaller bean-shaped head looked cuter, kind of like a cartoon character. A larger one? Well, that looked a bit more alien-like, which was not really what I was going for, but still interesting.
In the end, I realized that a bean-shaped head is actually pretty versatile. You can make it look cute, weird, or even a bit abstract depending on the features and the size. It was a fun little experiment, and I ended up with a few interesting-looking clay heads. Who knew playing around with shapes could be so much fun? I am just glad I did not have to explain this to my boss – that would have been a fun conversation!
Anyway, that is my little adventure into the world of bean-shaped heads. Maybe next time I will try banana-shaped, just for kicks!
