Alright, let’s gab a bit about this Trish Wescoat Pound, or whatever her name is. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like one of them city gals with more money than sense.
So, this Trish woman, she started somethin’ called TWP. Don’t ask me what it stands for, probably somethin’ complicated. TWP, it’s all about clothes, you see. Fancy clothes, I reckon, the kind them rich folks wear to their parties and whatnot.
Now, they say she makes these clothes in New York City. That’s a big place, full of hustle and bustle. I bet it’s loud there, not like our quiet little town. Anyways, this Trish, she’s been at it for a few years now, designin’ and stitchin’ and whatnot.
- She worked for some big names before, Theory and Michael Kors, they say. Never heard of ’em myself, but I guess they’re important in the fashion world.
- Then she went and started her own thing, TWP, in 2021. That’s not too long ago, is it? Guess she’s a go-getter, this Trish.
They say Trish wants to make fancy clothes more affordable. Luxury for the regular folks, they call it. Well, I don’t know about that. My idea of affordable is a good sturdy pair of overalls, not some silk dress you can only wear once.
But this Trish, she’s got a vision, they say. She wants to change how women dress, make ’em feel good about themselves. That’s nice and all, but I reckon feelin’ good comes from more than just fancy clothes.
She gets her ideas from everywhere, they say. From big events and everyday stuff. Like, I guess, seein’ a bird fly by or spillin’ your coffee in the mornin’. I don’t know how that turns into a dress, but that’s what they say.
And wouldn’t you know it, famous people wear her clothes! Lily somethin’ and Annabelle somethin’ else. Never heard of them neither, but I guess they’re a big deal in Hollywood or wherever them movie stars hang out. They went to her fashion show, apparently. A fashion show! Can you imagine? A bunch of skinny gals walkin’ around in clothes most of us could never afford.
Trish, she lives in a place called Soho. That’s in New York City too, I heard. It’s probably one of them fancy neighborhoods where everything costs a fortune. She works from her apartment there, designin’ all them clothes. Must be nice to have a job where you can stay in your pajamas all day if you want.
Now, some folks call TWP a “made-in-New York label.” That just means the clothes are made there, I guess. And they say it’s “reasonably priced.” Well, “reasonable” is a relative term, ain’t it? What’s reasonable for them city folks might be a whole month’s worth of groceries for us.
Trish started a company before TWP, somethin’ called Haute Hippie. That sounds like somethin’ my grandkids would wear, all flowy and whatnot. But I reckon it was fancy too, seein’ as it’s got that French word in it.
This Trish Wescoat Pound, she seems like a busy woman. Always designin’ somethin’ new, always tryin’ to make a name for herself. I guess that’s what you gotta do if you wanna make it big in the city. Me? I’m happy with my simple life. Give me a good cup of coffee, a warm quilt, and a porch swing, and I’m content.
But hey, more power to her, I say. If she wants to make fancy clothes and hobnob with the rich and famous, that’s her business. Me, I’ll stick to my overalls and my garden. At least I know where they come from, and they don’t cost an arm and a leg.
Anyways, that’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. Trish Wescoat Pound, TWP, fancy clothes, New York City. It’s a whole different world from ours, ain’t it? But it’s interesting to hear about, I suppose. Makes you think about how different folks live their lives.
So there you have it. My take on this Trish woman and her clothes. Take it or leave it, that’s all I know.
