Hey folks, it’s your girl back again with another one of my little experiments. So, I got this see-through dress the other day, and I was like, “Hmm, how am I gonna pull this off?” I mean, it’s a bit daring, right? But I was determined to make it work, so I started messing around with it.

First, I spent some time doing some positive self-talk. I had to constantly remind myself, “Girl, you are beautiful, and this dress is gonna look amazing on you.” It might sound cheesy, but it really helps to boost your confidence before stepping out in something that pushes you out of your comfort zone.
Next, I started looking for things to wear underneath. I dug through my closet and found this simple, plain thin cloth, a basic inner, you know? Nothing fancy, just something to give me a bit of coverage without taking away from the dress itself. I tried it on, and it worked pretty well. It felt more comfortable and a bit more appropriate to go out.
Then, I remembered seeing someone online suggesting an all-black base layer. I had this black turtleneck and some compression tights, so I threw those on under the dress. I even added a black slip dress on top of that for good measure. It added a layer of sophistication and made the whole outfit look more put-together.
Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize!
You know I love my accessories. I grabbed some chunky gold earrings and a matching necklace – kinda gave it that ’80s vibe. And for shoes, I went with my trusty combat boots. They added just the right amount of edge to balance out the femininity of the dress. Here are a few options I tried on:
- Chunky Gold Hoops: Big and bold, perfect for making a statement.
- Delicate Gold Chain: A bit more subtle, but still adds a touch of glam.
- Studded Belt: Cinched at the waist to add some shape.
- Ankle Boots: A bit more dressed up than the combat boots.
- Colorful Scarf: Tied around the neck or in the hair for a pop of color.
After trying on a few different combinations, I finally settled on a look that I felt confident and comfortable in. I did a final check in the mirror, gave myself a little nod of approval, and headed out the door.
Honestly, the whole process was a bit of a journey. I went from feeling kinda unsure to totally owning it. It’s amazing what a little self-love, the right undergarments, and some killer accessories can do. So, if you’ve got a see-through dress hanging in your closet, don’t be afraid to experiment and make it your own. You got this!
I saw many girls on campus flaunting their dresses and skirts, looking beautiful and confident. I used to roll my eyes but this time I didn’t. It seems that on every red carpet, celebrities are turning to see through dresses for their looks. So this time I tried it on myself and succeeded.
Alright, that’s it for today’s adventure. Catch you guys in the next one!
