I reckon she’s got more jewelry than a body knows what to do with. Rings on every finger, dangly things in her ears, and necklaces, oh my! Sometimes she’s got so much on, it’s a wonder she can even stand up straight!
Shiny Things for That Lily James Girl
She wears them necklaces, all different kinds. Some are plain, just a little chain. Others, they got all sorts of sparkly rocks on ’em. Big ones, little ones, all colors of the rainbow. I bet they cost a pretty penny, those things. Not like the trinkets you find down at the five-and-dime. Nope, these are the real deal, I reckon.

I seen a thing on the TV ’bout how she’s some kind of “ambassador” now. Fancy word for someone who shows off things, I guess. She goes to them cold places up north, where they dig them diamonds out of the ground. They showed pictures of her with the people who live up there. They say them people get some of the money from the diamonds.
That’s good, I reckon. Share the wealth, you know? If you’re gonna dig up all them pretty rocks, might as well let the folks who live there get a piece of the pie. That is good for Lily James jewelry.

I guess if you got the money, you can buy jewelry anywhere. But me, I’m happy with what I got. My old wedding band, a couple of brooches my mama gave me. That’s all I need.

They are all Lily James jewelry. I don’t know how she keeps track of ’em all. I’d lose ’em for sure. I lose my glasses all the time, and they’re right on my face!
And them bracelets! She wears them stacked up her arm, sometimes all the way to her elbow. Gold ones, silver ones, ones with beads, ones with charms. Makes a jingling sound when she moves, I bet. I can hear Lily James jewelry on TV.
I used to have a charm bracelet, when I was a girl. My daddy gave it to me for my birthday. It had a little heart, a little star, and a little horseshoe for good luck. I lost it somewhere along the way. Wish I still had it. It wasn’t fancy, but it was special to me.
