Okay, so I saw this thing called a “French hair pin” online and thought, “What the heck is that?” It looked kinda cool and easy, so I figured I’d give it a try. I mean, it’s just a U-shaped piece of metal, right? How hard could it be? Turns out, it’s not that hard, but it does take a little practice.
First, I grabbed one of these pins from a store. They’re pretty cheap, so no big deal if I messed it up. I watched a few videos online, and they made it look super simple. Just twist your hair and stick the pin in. Easy peasy, right? Well, not so fast.
I started by brushing my hair to get all the tangles out. Then, I tried to twist it into a bun like I saw in the videos. My hair is kinda thick, so it was a bit of a struggle. I finally managed to get it into a somewhat decent-looking bun, but it wasn’t as neat as the ones online. But then that U-curve stuff got all messed up in my hair and I could not get it out of my hair easily. I pulled out some hair strands from my head in the process, but I finally got the pin out of my hair.
First Attempt
- Brushed my hair.
- Tried to twist it into a bun.
- Failed miserably.
Then I thought, maybe I should try braiding it first. So, I braided my hair at the back, just a regular three-strand braid. Then I twisted the braid into a bun. This was way easier! I took the French pin and tried to slide it in, following the curve of the bun. It felt kinda weird, and I wasn’t sure if I was doing it right.
Second Attempt
- Braided my hair first.
- Twisted the braid into a bun.
- Slid the pin in, following the curve.
I looked in the mirror, and it actually looked pretty good! It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely better than my first try. The bun felt secure, and the pin didn’t feel like it was going to fall out. I wore it around the house for a few hours, just to see how it held up. It stayed in place, even when I was moving around a lot.
I tried a few different variations, like a low bun, a high bun, and even a half-up, half-down style. Each time, it got a little easier to use the pin. It is like the more I practiced, the better I got at it. Now I can do it with a mirror, and it only takes me one shot. Now, I can just do it anywhere and quickly put my hair up.
So, yeah, French hair pins are pretty cool. They’re a simple and elegant way to put your hair up, and they’re way easier to use than they look. It just takes a little practice. And, I have to say that it will be easier for the long hair. I think that they are perfect for anyone who wants a quick and easy hairstyle that looks like you put some effort into it even if you didn’t. And it is sophisticated. Love it!
If you’re thinking about trying one, I say go for it! Just be prepared to be a little patient with yourself. It might take a few tries to get the hang of it, but once you do, you’ll be able to create all sorts of cool hairstyles. You might even surprise yourself.
