Today, I wanted to document something I tried out recently, kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing. I decided to check out what all the buzz was about with Charli D’Amelio at Coachella.
So, I started by grabbing my phone and opening up the TikTok app. I typed “Charli D’Amelio” into the search bar, but I realized I didn’t know how to spell her last name correctly. Her profile was lit! Millions of followers, a ton of videos, the whole nine yards. It got me curious about why she’s so huge on the platform. I started watching a few of her videos, mostly dance stuff, which, I gotta admit, is pretty impressive. I can see why people dig her content. She’s got moves!
Then I remembered I wanted to see her at Coachella. Back to the search bar, I typed in “Charli D’Amelio Coachella.” Boom! A bunch of videos popped up. I scrolled through and watched a few. It looked like she had a blast! Big crowds, loud music, the typical Coachella scene, all of this seems super fun.
I got curious and did a bit more digging. I switched over to my browser and looked up some stuff about her. Turns out, she’s a really big deal, like, one of the highest-earning TikTokers as of January 2022, raking in between $25,000 and $50,000 per sponsored post. Man, that’s a lot of dough!
Then I found this article about her family’s YouTube channel. They posted some video that went viral, and Charli lost a million followers because of it. Drama! In the video, there’s her parents, her sister Dixie, and this guy James Charles. There’s also a chef, Aaron May, who was preparing the dinner.
I even found out that she’s mostly Italian and Irish, just like her sister. It’s interesting to see how much you can learn just by poking around the internet.
The Result
Well, it was an interesting deep dive. I realized that Charli’s fame isn’t just about her dance moves. It’s also about the whole package – her personality, her family, and the way she connects with her audience. It’s a smart move, tapping into the whole influencer scene. I mean, it’s pretty clear she and her family know how to work the system, and hey, more power to them.
Also, her popularity helped me understand just how big this whole influencer thing is. It’s wild to think that someone can become a millionaire just by posting videos online. It’s a whole different world out there. This kind of blew my mind!
