Okay, so, let me tell you about this whole Arc’teryx collaboration thing I got myself into. It all started when I was scrolling through my feed, you know, just killing time. And bam! There’s this post about a new collab between Arc’teryx and some other brand, BEAMS, I think it was? Anyway, the stuff looked pretty slick, so I got curious.

First thing I did was hit up the Arc’teryx website. I mean, where else would you go, right? I wanted to see what the deal was with this collab and if there was anything I really needed. They had some info there, talking about a “randomized draw” to even get a chance to buy the jackets. Randomized draw? What is this, the lottery?
Turns out, yeah, kind of. You had to RSVP to this thing online, and then they’d pick people at random to be able to buy the stuff. It seemed a bit much for a jacket, but hey, I was already this far down the rabbit hole. And It said the release date is December 2, I was like, “Okay, I have to be quick!”
So, I signed up for the draw, crossing my fingers and all that. I also did some more digging around the website. They had a bunch of other stuff, like insulated jackets, which, honestly, I might need for the winter. Oh, and get this, they have a whole section for used gear called “Regear.” Pretty cool, right? You can snag some decent deals there.
While I was at it, I figured I might as well sign up for their newsletter. It’s called “My Account” or something. You know, just to stay in the loop about new releases and discounts. I hate missing out on good deals.
Now, here’s where it got a little tricky. The website mentioned that these collab items were only going to be available in select stores. And guess what? The stores were all over the place—America, Canada, the UK, even China! I started checking which stores near me were on the list. Luckily, there was one not too far away, in Yorkdale.

I spent the next few days kind of obsessing over this whole thing, which, in less than a year’s time. I even started looking at their other stuff, like their hiking pants. I don’t even hike that much, but they looked kind of nice.
Anyway, long story short, I did the draw. Now I have to play the waiting game.

- Located a store near me that might have it.
It’s all a bit of a hassle for some clothes, but hey, it’s kind of fun, right? Like a little adventure. I’ll keep you guys posted on what happens next. Wish me luck!
