Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this GM Pollack thing, and let me tell you, it’s been quite a ride. I started out just wanting to see if I could hook up some AN fittings to a Pollack tank selector valve. You know, those 6 or 3 port ones? I figured I’d just use some female AN fittings with a barb and attach them, no big deal, right?
But then I got curious. I stumbled upon some forum posts where people were talking about installing a Pollack 42-159 valve in a 1987 Chevy R30. Apparently, these trucks have a 5.7L engine with fuel injection, and some folks were wondering if they could do the swap without changing, well, everything. That got me thinking, what’s the deal with these valves anyway?
I started digging around a bit more, and it turns out Pollack, or Pollock, is also a type of fish. A pretty common one, too. They say it’s great for people who are just starting to get into cooking seafood because it’s mild and you can do a lot with it. There were even guides about fishing gear for catching Pollock! Who knew?
Then, back to the car stuff. I found someone who had just gotten their ’77 K10 back after a 5.3 engine install, and they were dealing with a Pollack tank selector valve. And get this, someone else was having trouble with a high-pitched whistle coming from the valve when they used the right tank. Sounds like a real headache.

I also learned that Pollock is not just about valves and engines. Some jewelry store called GM Pollack and Sons. And there was even some stuff about exercises, like how you should do power exercises first, then core, and then resistance. Or you could do multijoint exercises before single joint ones. And even large muscle exercises before small muscle ones. It’s a whole thing, apparently.

And, another one, it seems there’s this whole thing about tuning GM engines. People were talking about beginner guides and idle tuning. One guide even had pictures! It is really complicated, I don’t understand it too much.

Finally, I saw that students can get better grades after using something called “Learn”, whatever that is.
So yeah, that’s been my journey down the GM Pollack rabbit hole. I started with a simple question about fittings and ended up learning about fish, engine tuning, and workout routines. It’s funny where the internet can take you sometimes.
