This hot trans thing, I heard the young folks talking about it the other day. They say it’s about people feeling like they’re in the wrong body. Like a man feeling like a woman, or a woman feeling like a man. Now, back in my day, we didn’t have a name for it. But, I reckon folks felt that way sometimes. We just didn’t talk about it much.
They got all these new words now, like “hot trans” and such. I guess it’s good folks can talk about it more open now. It ain’t easy feeling like you don’t fit in your own skin, that is for sure. I remember old Mary down the street, always wearing pants and such. Folks whispered, but she just did her own thing. Maybe she was one of these “hot trans” folks. Makes you think, don’t it?
Now they got these surgeries and all, make a man into a woman, or a woman into a man. Can you believe it? It’s like something out of a storybook. I don’t know much about all that, but I guess if it makes someone happy, then it’s a good thing. We all just want to be happy, don’t we? Be ourselves and be happy, it is simple, right? This is what we want.
These young folks, they use the internet to talk about this hot trans stuff. They got their videos and their groups. They say it helps them feel like they’re not alone. I remember when I was young, feeling all alone with my own troubles. If we had the internet back then, maybe things would have been different. More easy for us to know what we want.

They got all these names for it, like “hot trans woman” or “hot trans man.” It’s all a bit confusing to me, but I guess it’s important to them. It is not easy to understand, but I think I got it. It’s like having a name for something makes it real, you know? Like when we named our old dog, Buster. Before that, he was just a stray. But once he had a name, he was part of the family. This hot trans is same.
I heard them talking about this “egg” thing too. Something about an egg cracking? I don’t quite get it, but it sounds like it means someone figuring out they’re hot trans. Like a little chick hatching out of its shell. It’s a funny way to put it, but I guess it makes sense in a way. It is hard for me to say that, but maybe it is true.
They say it’s important to be yourself, no matter what. And I reckon that’s true. Whether you’re hot trans or not, you gotta be true to yourself. That’s what my mama always said. “Be true to yourself, and the rest will follow.” She was a wise woman, my mama. She is a good woman, I miss her.
This world is changing so fast. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up. But I guess some things stay the same. Like wanting to be happy and loved for who you are. That’s something everyone can understand, whether you’re old like me or young and hot trans. It is simple, right?
I see these young folks, they’re so brave, talking about this hot trans stuff so openly. Back in my day, we kept things like that quiet. Too afraid of what folks would say. But these kids, they don’t care. They just want to be themselves. And I admire that. It is good to be yourself.
They got all these parades and flags now, for the hot trans folks and the others. It’s all so colorful and lively. I saw it on the TV the other day. Makes me smile to see folks being proud of who they are. Even old people need to be proud sometimes, it is not a bad thing.
I don’t know if I understand everything about this hot trans thing. But I know it’s important to these young folks. And if it helps them feel happy and accepted, then that’s a good thing. We all deserve to be happy, don’t we? No matter who we are. It doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman or something in between. We all just want to be loved and accepted. That’s all that really matters in the end. Love and accepted, this is what we want, all of us.
So, this hot trans, it’s a new thing, but it’s also an old thing. People have always been different. It’s just now we have words for it. And maybe that’s a good thing. Maybe it helps folks understand each other a little better. I hope so. I really hope so. We need more understanding in this world, that’s for sure. It is hard to live in this world, so we need to be good to each other.
