Alright, let’s talk about this Tiffany and that Pokeball thingy. I saw it on the TV, this shiny thing, looked like gold, you know? And they said it’s a Pikachu, that little yellow critter my grandkids are always yelling about. Pikachu necklace, they called it. Fancy, real fancy.
Heard tell it’s made of some kinda gold, 18-karat they say. Sounds expensive, don’t it? And this gold Pikachu sits inside a blue ball, like the ones them kids throw in the cartoon. Only this ball, it’s Tiffany blue. I ain’t never had nothin’ Tiffany, but I hear it’s for rich folks.
Now, this ain’t no ordinary toy, mind you. They say the small one costs a whole heap of money, near ten thousand dollars! Can you believe that? Ten thousand dollars for a little gold rat in a blue ball! And if you want a bigger one, well, hold onto your hat, ’cause that’ll set you back almost thirty thousand! Lord have mercy, that’s more money than I seen in my whole life. Expensive Pikachu Necklace, that’s for sure.
- Small Pikachu: Around $9,900
- Big Pikachu: Around $29,000
They call that blue ball a “Pokeball”. Seems like in that cartoon world, they catch them critters with it. And this ain’t just any Pokeball, it’s a Luxury Ball, they say. The fanciest one, the most expensive. Well, I reckon it better be, for that kinda money! It’s like them fancy folks always gotta one-up each other. Can’t just be a regular ball, gotta be the most expensive. Luxury Pokeball, they call it.
This whole thing, it’s part of some ad campaign, you know, to sell more of this shiny stuff. They got this young gal, an actress, in the pictures. Pretty thing, but I ain’t never seen her before. They say she’s important, represents Tiffany or somethin’. She’s wearing all kinds of diamonds and jewels. Makes me wonder if she even knows how much a loaf of bread costs. Probably not. Tiffany Ad Campaign is what they call it. Big money, big names, that’s how it goes.
I saw some young fella on the internet, he got one of them Pikachus. He was opening the box, all excited. Said it was a “limited edition” which probably means they ain’t makin’ many, so folks will pay even more. He kept showing all the little details, like it was the most important thing in the world. Guess it is, if you spend that much money on it. Limited Edition Pikachu is a big deal, seems like.
Now, I ain’t got no use for a gold Pikachu in a fancy ball. I got bills to pay and mouths to feed. But I guess if you got money to burn, you can buy whatever you want. Me, I’d rather have a good, sturdy pair of shoes and a warm coat. But that’s just me. Some folks like shiny things. To each their own, I always say.
So, this Tiffany and Co. Pokeball, with its golden Pikachu… it’s a thing for the rich folks. A way to show off how much money they got. Me, I’ll stick to my chickens and my garden. At least I know where my money’s going. And it ain’t going on no golden rat in a blue ball, that’s for sure!
This whole thing just goes to show you, the world’s a funny place. Some folks got too much money, some folks ain’t got enough. And some folks are makin’ a whole lot of money sellin’ gold Pikachus in fancy blue balls. That’s just the way it is, I reckon.
