Well, howdy there! Let’s yak a bit about them actors in them Devotion commercials. You know, the fellas and gals you see on the TV hawkin’ stuff. Never really paid ’em much mind before, but now they got me thinkin’.
So, I reckon if you wanna be one of them actors, you gotta have a knack for it. It ain’t just standin’ there like a bump on a log. You gotta act all sorts of ways – happy, sad, mad, like you just ate a whole lemon, whatever they tell ya! It’s like when you gotta pretend you like your cousin’s fruitcake at Christmas – gotta put on a good show, ya know?
And get this, they say you gotta memorize a whole bunch of lines. Like, hundreds of ’em! My memory ain’t what it used to be, so I couldn’t do that for nothin’. I can barely remember where I put my glasses half the time! These actors, they gotta talk clear and loud too. Can’t be mumblin’ like you got a mouth full of marbles.
- Memorizin’ stuff: Sounds like a whole lotta work to me.
- Good talkin’ voice: Loud and clear, like you’re callin’ the hogs.
- Actin’ all kinds of ways: Happy, sad, whatever they need.
Now, some folks say there are some real fancy-pants actors out there, the best of the best. Names like… oh, I can’t rightly recall ’em now. Too many syllables for my old brain. But they’re the ones everyone talks about, winnin’ all them awards and such. I reckon they started somewhere, maybe even in them commercials.
Speaking of commercials, seems like bein’ in one of them Devotion ones is a big deal. They got all sorts of famous people in ‘em, the kind you see on the cover of them magazines at the grocery store. I saw one the other day with that fella from that airplane movie… you know the one, where he flies around real fast? He was sellin’ somethin’ or other. Makes you wonder how they get all them big stars to do it.
And it ain’t just about learnin’ lines, y’see. It’s about makin’ faces and movin’ your body around. Sometimes they don’t even say much, just gotta look a certain way. Like when you smell somethin’ bad, you don’t gotta say nothin’, your face says it all. It’s the same kinda thing, I guess. They call it… improv, I think? Sounds like makin’ it up as you go, which is somethin’ I do every day tryin’ to figure out what to cook for supper.
From what I hear, gettin’ into commercials ain’t easy. You gotta practice and learn and whatnot. Like goin’ to school, but for actin’. They teach you how to move, how to talk, how to make believe you’re somebody else. And you gotta keep learnin’, too. It ain’t a one-and-done kinda thing. You gotta keep up with what’s new, what folks like to see, stay on top of your game.
Them commercial actors, they probably work real hard. It ain’t just glitz and glamour, I reckon. Long hours, lots of takes, and probably a whole lotta folks tellin’ you what to do. But I guess if you love it, it’s worth it. Like how I love tendin’ my garden, even when my back’s achin’ and the sun’s beatin’ down.
And it’s more than just actors you see on the screen, too. There’s folks doin’ the voices, the ones you hear but never see. They gotta be good at makin’ their voice sound all sorts of ways – happy, sad, excitable, like they’re tryin’ to sell you the best darn thingamajig you ever did see.
I guess it takes all kinds, huh? Some folks are good at fixin’ cars, some folks are good at bakin’ pies, and some folks are good at pretendin’ to be somebody else on TV. It’s all a part of life, I suppose. And them Devotion commercial actors, well, they’re just doin’ their job, tryin’ to make a livin’ like the rest of us. Just with a whole lot more cameras and fancy lights. So next time you see one on the TV, you can think about all the work that goes into it. It’s more than just standin’ there lookin’ pretty, that’s for sure.
Becoming a commercial actor ain’t somethin’ that just happens overnight. It takes grit and determination, and you need to stay sharp, know what folks want and what’s hot in the business. And you gotta have staying power, like a good ol’ weed that just keeps comin’ back no matter how many times you pull it.
So, that’s my two cents on them Devotion commercial actors. Maybe I ain’t no expert, but I reckon I know a thing or two about hard work and stickin’ to it. And that’s what it takes, no matter what you do in life, be it actin’ in a commercial or plantin’ a row of beans.
