Today I wanted to make some visual content, so I figured, why not look for some “globe black and white clip art”? I’ve always been fascinated by those simple, yet classic images of the world.

First, I opened my browser and typed in “globe black and white clip art” into the search bar. Lots of options popped up, which was kind of overwhelming, to be honest. I scrolled through pages and pages of images, some were too detailed, some were too abstract, and some were just plain weird.
Finding the right image
- I clicked on a few that caught my eye.
- I checked it is not a copyright image.
- I downloaded some images to my computer.
After downloading, I opened my photo editing software – nothing fancy, just a basic program I use for simple edits. I imported the clip art into the editor. And I realized that the image quality wasn’t great when I zoomed in. It looked a bit pixelated.
So, I went back to the drawing board. I refined my search, this time adding “high resolution” to my keywords. This definitely helped narrow down the results to better quality images. I found a few more promising ones and downloaded those as well.
Making it my own
Back in the editor, I compared the different images I had collected. I picked the one I liked the most, it had a good balance of detail and simplicity, and the resolution was pretty decent. Then, I started playing around with the image. I adjusted the contrast and brightness a bit to make the lines sharper. I also cropped the image to focus on just the globe, removing some unnecessary white space around it.
Finally, I saved the edited image in a couple of different formats, just to be safe. All in all, it was a fun little project. It took a bit longer than I expected, but I ended up with a nice piece of globe clip art that I can use in my future projects.
