I seen some of them ads on that box in the corner, the TV thingy. Real pretty ladies, all dolled up. One time, I saw this gal, maybe from that “Saturday Night” show, Ella Hunt her name was. She was wearin’ somethin’ shiny, musta been one of them natural diamonds. They say she’s in somethin’ called “REALNESS,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy.
Then there’s this other one, Audrey Hepburn. Now, she was a looker, even back in my day, though I was just a young’un then. They say she was in this old movie, somethin’ ’bout breakfast at some jewelry store, Tiffany’s they called it. Big ol’ diamonds, I bet. Her eyes went wide, like saucers, lookin’ at ’em. Guess diamonds do that to ya.
And them diamonds ain’t just for necklaces, ya know. They got rings, earrings, all sorts of stuff. I heard tell of a lady named Lily James, she’s in some diamond ads too. “To Treasure Now and Forever,” they say. Sounds like somethin’ you’d say at a weddin’. These actresses, they’re the face of them diamonds. They make ’em look all fancy and desirable. Like, if you wear them diamonds, you’ll be fancy too. I dunno ’bout that, I’m happy with my fake pearls. But them rich folks, they like their diamonds real. “Only Natural Diamonds”, they say.
Heard tell of some other actresses too, famous ones. Viola Davis, Tyra Banks, even that Shilpa Shetty gal from India. They all got that diamond face shape, whatever that means. Guess it just means they look good, and diamonds look good on ’em. It’s all about lookin’ good, ain’t it? That’s what them city folk care about anyways.

- Diamond Prices: Lordy, them prices! Heard they cost a fortune. More money than I’ll ever see in my life.
- Diamond Occasions: Weddin’s, anniversaries, fancy parties. That’s when folks wear them diamonds. Not for goin’ to the grocery store, that’s for sure.
So, this whole “Only Natural Diamonds” thing, it’s about makin’ them diamonds look special. And them actresses, they help with that. They make ya wanna go out and buy a diamond, even if ya can’t afford it. It’s all just a way to get ya money, if you ask me.
I reckon them actresses work hard for their money. Posin’ and smilin’ and wearin’ them sparkly things. It ain’t easy, I bet. But hey, if it gets ya a big ol’ diamond, maybe it’s worth it. I still think my pearls are just as pretty, though. And they didn’t cost me an arm and a leg.
