Man, I’ve been trying to get into this whole Thai makeup trend lately. It’s all about looking natural and fresh, you know? So, I went on a little mission to figure out how to do it right.
First thing I did was hit up the internet to see what’s up. Turns out, a lot of people dig those international brands like Artistry, Pond’s, Olay, and Nivea for skincare. And for makeup, there are some cool Thai brands like Mistine, Oriental Princess, and Giffarine. Good to know!
I also found out that this Thai style is all about enhancing your natural beauty. Think dewy skin, feathery brows, subtle eye makeup, and a soft oval-shaped contour. Sounds pretty, right?
So, I started experimenting. For that dewy skin, I tried out a few different hydrating primers and foundations. It took some trial and error, but I finally found a combo that gave me that nice, glowy look without being too oily. I grabbed a couple of different brow products too. Pencils, powders, gels… you name it. The goal was to make my brows look full but still natural, like I didn’t even try, haha.
- Primer: Tried a few, settled on one that’s super hydrating.
- Foundation: Went for a lightweight, dewy formula.
- Brows: Played around with pencils, powders, and gels for a feathery look.
Then came the eyes. I kept it simple with some neutral eyeshadows – just a little bit of definition in the crease. Mascara was a must, of course. I wanted my lashes to look long and fluttery, but not clumpy or fake. And for the contour, I used a cream bronzer and blended it out really well to create that soft oval shape. It’s all about looking naturally sculpted, not like I have a ton of makeup on.
Honestly, it was a bit of a process. I watched a bunch of tutorials, read some articles, and just practiced a lot. There were definitely some days where I ended up looking like a raccoon, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
Now, I’m not saying I’m a pro or anything, but I’m definitely getting the hang of it. I even tried to change my eye shape with some tapes and glues, I bought them from a TikTok shop! It’s cool to see how makeup can enhance your features and boost your confidence. Plus, it’s just fun to play around with different looks and express yourself. I feel like I just leveled up my makeup game, and it feels pretty darn good!
Anyways, that’s my little Thai makeup journey so far. If you’re curious, I say give it a try! It’s all about embracing your natural beauty and having fun with it. I use a lot of products from these lists I found online, they are not perfect but just OK for me to use, I also tried out some drugstore makeup products, they are really cheap but worked just fine! No need to always use the expensive brands, and my skin feels great!
And about confidence, I mean, I did not put on makeup before, but now, when I look into the mirror, I feel a bit better about myself, especially on those not-so-good days. That little bit of confidence boost, it is real, I am telling you, I was really surprised!
