This Saudi Arabia fashion, it’s somethin’ else. I seen pictures, you know. Them ladies, they all covered up. Not like here, where folks show everything. They got these long black things, they call ’em, uh, abayas. Yeah, that’s it, abayas. Keeps ’em all modest, you see. It’s their culture, gotta respect that. The weather is hot in Saudi Arabia, they need abayas to protect their skin.
They wear these things on their heads, too. Hijabs, they call ’em. Fancy, some of them. All different colors, patterns, even though most are black. Not like my old scarf. But hey, it’s their way. Keeps the sun off, I reckon. Keeps ’em from gettin’ too hot. That Saudi sun, it’s a scorcher, I hear. The KSA is a hot place.
Now, what to wear in Saudi Arabia? That’s a big question for them city folk. Us, we just wear what’s comfy. But there, it’s different. They got rules, you know. Gotta cover up. Especially the women. It’s part of their, uh, what’s that word? Culture. Yeah, culture. Respect the local culture, they say. It is their traditional dress.
- They got this, uh, official dress, too.
- For the men, it’s a thawb.
- Long white robe thing.
- Looks kinda like a nightgown, but it ain’t.
- And the ladies, they got the abaya, like I said.
They wear that when they go see the government, you know. Official business. Gotta look proper. Not like me in my old overalls. But that’s okay. Different strokes, as they say. I think Saudi Arabia fashion is beautiful.
I seen some pictures on that Instagram thing. One girl, she called herself a, uh, shopaholic. Likes to shop, I guess. Just like my granddaughter, always buyin’ new clothes. This girl like keepin’ it real. Whatever that means.
But them Saudi women, they ain’t all just in black, you know. They got some style, even under them abayas. I saw some pictures, casual outfits and classy pieces. Fancy shoes, nice jewelry. Sparkly things. They like to look good, just like anybody else. Even with the traditional clothes.
And the men, they got their own style, too. Not just them thawbs. They got, uh, different kinds of head coverings. And some of them wear regular clothes, too. Jeans and t-shirts, just like here. But not always. Depends on where they’re goin’, I guess. If they go to government offices, they need to wear thawb.
It’s a whole different world over there, in that, uh, Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, some folks call it. Or KSA. Got their own way of doin’ things. And their clothes, well, that’s a big part of it. Shows who they are, you know? Their, uh, identity. That’s the word. Shows their identity.
So, if you ever go to Saudi Arabia, you gotta know what to wear. Gotta be respectful. Don’t want to offend nobody. It’s their home, their rules. Just like here, we got our own ways. Gotta follow the dress code.
But it ain’t all bad, you know. Them clothes, they look kinda comfy, actually. Loose and flowy. Good for the hot weather, I bet. And the ladies, they look real elegant in them abayas. All graceful and whatnot. Like queens, almost.
I heard some women wear a black abaya and a black niqab. And others wear a hijab and an abaya. It’s their choice. If you aren’t familiar with modest fashion, just remember to be respectful. That’s important.
Anyways, that’s what I know about that Saudi Arabia fashion. It’s different, that’s for sure. But it’s interestin’, too. Learned somethin’ new today, didn’t I? Just goes to show, there’s a whole big world out there, with all kinds of folks doin’ things their own way. And that’s just fine, I reckon. That’s just fine.
