Yesterday, I finally got my hands on the Rolex Milgauss with the Z-blue dial. Man, it was a journey! This model has been on my radar for a while. I mean, who wouldn’t be attracted to that stunning blue dial? So I decided to take the plunge.
I started my quest by visiting a few authorized dealers in town. It’s not every day you see a Milgauss just sitting in the display case. It is less popular than the Submariner, but I love it. I guess it’s one of those watches you either love or hate. Anyway, after a bit of hunting, I found one at a dealer I trust. The moment I saw it, I knew it was the one. The blue dial with that orange second hand was a real eye-catcher.
Negotiating the price was a bit of a hassle, to be honest. You know how it is with Rolex, the prices are pretty much set in stone. But I managed to talk them down a little, which made me feel like a champ. Once the paperwork was done and I had the watch on my wrist, I couldn’t stop grinning. I mean, this is a Rolex, and it is not just a watch, It is a tool watch designed for scientists and engineers. I work in a lab with some serious electromagnetic interference, and this watch can handle it no problem.
My Wearing Experience
Wearing it out for the first time was awesome. A few people noticed it and gave me some nods of approval. It’s not just a pretty face, though. This watch is tough.
It’s designed to withstand magnetic fields up to 1,000 gauss, hence the name “Milgauss.” I didn’t exactly go around testing that feature, but it’s cool to know it’s there. It is a 40mm watch which is a perfect size for me. 940L stainless steel is also very durable.
There are only two versions of Rolex Milgauss on the market today. I chose the Z blue dial one, because I love blue color.
Overall, I am thrilled with my new Rolex Milgauss. It is a unique piece that stands out from the usual Rolex crowd. Plus, it is built like a tank, so I know it will last me for years to come. If you are looking for something different and special, definitely check out the Milgauss. You won’t be disappointed!
