Well, let me tell ya, things ain’t stayin’ the same, not even for them big shot companies. I heard tell about this Rodan and Fields, the one sellin’ all them fancy face creams and such. Seems like they’re shakin’ things up a bit, changin’ how they do business. Don’t really understand all the fancy talk, but I’ll tell ya what I heard.
Big Changes Comin’
So, they sayin’ starting September 1st, somethin’s gonna be different. No more of that… what do they call it? Multi-level sellin’ stuff. Used to be, folks would sign up other folks, and they’d get a cut of what them other folks sold. Kinda like a pyramid, I guess, but they say it ain’t. Anyways, they’re stoppin’ that. No more money for gettin’ your neighbors and cousins to sell stuff.
- No more multilevel marketing.
- They’re switchin’ to somethin’ called “affiliate program”.
Now, what’s this affiliate thingy? Sounds like you just sell the stuff and get a little somethin’ for yourself. No need to go around pesterin’ everyone you know to join up. Maybe that’s good, maybe not. Guess it depends on how much you like pesterin’ folks!
Them Face Creams is Changin’ Too
And it ain’t just the sellin’ part that’s changin’. Them creams and lotions, they’re gettin’ a makeover too. That “Reverse” stuff, the one for makin’ your face look brighter, they fixed it up. No more mixin’ this and that, it’s all ready to go. One for the daytime, one for the night. Simple enough, even for an old gal like me.
Then there’s that “Redefine” stuff, the one for wrinkles. They’re changin’ that one up in October. Still gonna be the same three steps: clean, tone, and then put on the cream. But I reckon they made it better somehow. New and improved, they say. Hope it works, all that fancy stuff costs a pretty penny!
Why All the Fuss?
So why they changin’ everything? Heard they got a whole bunch of money, like 75 million dollars! That’s a lot of dough, even for them city folk. Maybe they’re tryin’ to make things easier, or maybe they just wanna make more money. Who knows? Big companies do what they wanna do, that’s for sure.
Heard some big wigs named Kathy Fields and Liz Ritter are behind this. Smart gals, I guess. They announced it all in San Francisco back in July. Big news for all them folks sellin’ that stuff. Guess they gotta learn a whole new way of doin’ things now. Change ain’t always easy, let me tell ya.
What’s it all Mean?
Well, for folks sellin’ Rodan and Fields, it means things are different. No more buildin’ teams and gettin’ money from them. Just gotta sell the stuff yourself and get a cut. For folks buyin’ it, maybe the creams will be better, who knows. And for the company? Well, they’re hopin’ to make a bunch more money, I reckon.
Simple as that, ain’t it?
They simplified it, is what they say. Starts September the first. No more network nonsense, just plain sellin’. You’re still a consultant, but you work straight with the company, not some team leader. Sounds easier to me, but then again, I ain’t never sold nothin’ but eggs and tomatoes at the farmers market.
So that’s the lowdown, as best as I can figure it. Rodan and Fields changin’ things up. New way of sellin’, new creams, and a whole lot of money involved. We’ll see how it all shakes out. Life’s always changin’, ain’t it? Just gotta roll with the punches, I always say.
Just gotta keep on keepin’ on, that’s the ticket. Whether you’re sellin’ face cream or growin’ tomatoes, the world keeps spinnin’. And these big companies, they gotta keep spinnin’ too, I guess. Otherwise, they dry up and blow away like an old tumbleweed.
And that’s all I got to say about that.
