My granddaughter, she showed me on that phone thing. She’s got more folks watchin’ her than live in our whole county, I reckon!
Coachella, Coachella, they keep sayin’. Sounds like a made-up word. But lots of folks go there, I hear. Must be somethin’ special. This Charli girl, she’s gonna be there, doin’ her thing. She started dancin’ in her room, just like my little Susie used to do. Now she makes more money than a farmer in a whole year, just for one video, they say. $247K a video. Imagine that. She used to just dance in that room. Now she dance for everybody!
They call her the queen of somethin’. Tick-tock, I think. My old clock tick-tocks, too, but ain’t nobody payin’ me for it! She’s got a knack, I guess. This Charli D’Amelio Coachella thing is big news. They say she moves to the second place. But it is still good. She’s everywhere now. My granddaughter always says, “Grandma, look at Charli, she is so good.” I say, yeah, she is good.
She got a lot of those “followers.” More’n a hundred million, they say. That’s a lot of folks watchin’ one girl dance. And they all tryin’ to dance like her, too. My Susie, she tries. Bless her heart, she ain’t got the moves like that Charli, but she tries. It is hard, you know. I cannot dance like that, either. But this Charli D’Amelio Coachella 2024, it is big deal.
Now this Charli, she’s gonna be on that Broadway. That’s what they call it. Sounds like a wide road to me. She’s climbin’ up in the world, that one. From dancin’ in her room to this Coachella 2024 thing and now Broadway. She must be workin’ hard. I remember when I was young, working hard all day in the sun.

I saw the recappin’ thing, it says recapping to the Coachella 2024 Day 2. They have many days I think. It is long. They say it is headlining sets. I don’t know what it means. But it sounds good, right?
