Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this Olivia gal, the one they call Wilde. Heard she went to some fancy shindig in Paris, somethin’ called Fashion Week. Don’t know much about fashion myself, reckon it’s just clothes, but these city folks, they make a big fuss outta it.
Paris Fashion Week, huh? Sounds like a whole lotta fuss over nothin’ if you ask me. But this Olivia, she sure made a splash, or so they say. Wore this see-through top, they call it “sheer,” like somethin’ you’d hang on your windows. Can you believe it? Showin’ off everything she’s got. Folks these days, no shame, I tell ya.
They say she went to somethin’ called the Saint Laurent show. Don’t know who this Saint Laurent fella is, probably some fancy-pants designer. But Olivia, she sure got everyone talkin’. That’s what they want, I guess, all that attention. Like a peacock struttin’ its feathers.
- Sheer top, they said. Wouldn’t catch me dead in somethin’ like that. Too much showin’ off for my taste.
- Saint Laurent show. Sounds expensive. Waste of good money if you ask me.
- Paris. Big city, full of them fancy folks. Give me the countryside any day.
Now, they’re sayin’ this dress, this “sheer hooded dress,” was held together with glue! “Extremely powerful glue,” they say. Can you imagine? Glued together! What if it came undone? Lord have mercy, the scandal that would be! Makes you wonder if them fancy clothes are even worth the trouble.
And then, another day, another dress. This time, somethin’ called suede, low-cut they say. Sophisticated, the papers called it. Looked like a regular ol’ dress to me, but what do I know? I ain’t no fashion expert. But that Yves Saint Laurent fella, he must be makin’ a killin’ sellin’ these clothes to the rich and famous.
Yves Saint Laurent womenswear fall/winter 2023-2024 show, that’s what they called it. Fall and winter, huh? Bet those clothes cost a pretty penny. Probably wouldn’t keep you warm on a cold winter night out here in the country, though. Give me a good ol’ quilt any day.
This whole Paris Fashion Week thing, it’s just a bunch of hullabaloo if you ask me. People makin’ a fuss over clothes, spendin’ money they probably don’t have. But I guess it keeps them city folks entertained. Me? I’d rather be out in the garden, tendin’ to my tomatoes.
Olivia Wilde, she’s a pretty gal, I’ll give her that. But all this fuss over her clothes, it’s just silly. She probably went from the “runway to the street,” as they say, showin’ off all them fancy duds. But out here, where I live, nobody cares about that kinda stuff. We care about hard work and good company, not what you’re wearin’.
So, that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. Olivia Wilde, Paris Fashion Week, fancy clothes, and a whole lotta fuss. Makes you think, doesn’t it? What’s really important in life? Sure ain’t a see-through shirt, I can tell you that much.
But then again, maybe that’s just me, a simple old woman who doesn’t understand these city ways. Still, a dress held together with powerful glue? That’s just askin’ for trouble, I say. Anyway, that’s all I got to say about this Olivia and her fashion show. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens.
