Alright, let’s gab about them Michael Jordan Space Jam shoes, you know, the ones he wore in that there movie with the funny cartoon rabbits and all. I ain’t no fancy shoe expert or nothin’, but I know what I like, and them shoes, well, they something special.
First off, they got this name, Air Jordan 11 Space Jam. Sounds all highfalutin, don’t it? But it’s just a shoe, a good one mind you, but still just a shoe. They say some fella named Tinker Hatfield made ’em. Don’t know him from Adam, but he sure made a good shoe, I tell ya.
Now, these shoes, they ain’t new. They been around since, what, 1995? That’s a long time ago, back when my kids were just little tykes. But folks still go crazy for ’em. Why? Well, I reckon it’s ’cause Michael Jordan, that basketball fella, wore ’em in that movie. He was a big deal, still is I guess, and folks wanna wear what he wore.
- They got different kinds too, like the Jordan 11 Retro Space Jam 2016 and even some newfangled ones called JORDAN XXX1 Space Jam. Sounds like a robot name to me, but hey, what do I know?
- I heard tell there’s even a whole bunch of ‘em, a “curated collection” they call it, all them Space Jam Air Jordans. Must be a lot of shoes, I say.
I seen pictures of them shoes, all shiny and black with that purplish bit on ’em. They look nice, real nice. But I ain’t wearin’ no basketball shoes, not at my age. My feet hurt just thinkin’ about it. But them young folks, they love ’em. Spendin’ good money on ’em too, I bet.
It’s funny, you know. Back in the day, Michael Jordan, he wore other shoes too. Some Converse somethin’ or other when he was in college. But nobody talks about them much. It’s all about them Space Jam shoes. That movie, it sure did something for them shoes, made ’em famous I guess. Like them little cartoon fellas helped sell shoes or somethin’. Makes you think, don’t it?
I heard some folks sayin’ that the kids who watched that movie back then, they grew up and now they got money to buy them shoes. Maybe that’s it. They want a piece of their childhood back or somethin’. I don’t know. Seems like a lot of fuss over a pair of shoes, but hey, people like what they like.
The Space Jam movie, that was a hit, wasn’t it? Everyone was talkin’ about it. Michael Jordan and them Looney Tunes, what a combo! And them shoes, they were right there in the middle of it all. So, I guess it makes sense that folks want ’em. It’s like ownin’ a piece of that movie magic, or somethin’ like that. I dunno, I’m just an old woman, what do I know about movie magic?
But I tell you what, them shoes, they got staying power. Been around for years and folks still want ’em. That’s gotta mean somethin’. Maybe they just good shoes, comfortable and all. Or maybe it’s just that Michael Jordan magic. Whatever it is, them Space Jam shoes, they something special, that’s for sure. Even this old lady can see that.
And that’s all I gotta say about them shoes. They nice, they famous, and folks love ’em. End of story.
