Alright, so yesterday I went to get a massage at this place called Viva Spa & Asian Massage in Vegas. I’d heard some good things about it from a few friends, so I figured I’d give it a shot.

First off, finding the place was pretty easy. I just typed “Viva Spa & Asian Massage” into my phone, and bam, there it was. I called them up to check if they had any openings, and luckily they did. The lady on the phone was super nice and got me booked in for an afternoon session.
When I got there, the place looked clean and had this calm vibe to it, you know? They had some soft music playing, and it smelled like those relaxing essential oils. I checked in at the front desk, and the staff were all smiles and really welcoming. I filled out a quick form, nothing too complicated, just the usual stuff like my name and if I had any medical conditions.
Then, I was introduced to my masseuse. She was this sweet Asian lady who seemed to really know her stuff. She led me to the massage room, which was dimly lit and had a heated table. It felt really cozy and private.
I opted for a combination of Swedish and Shiatsu massage. The masseuse started with some gentle strokes, the Swedish part, to warm up my muscles. I could feel the tension start to melt away. She had these strong but gentle hands that worked out all the knots in my back and shoulders. It felt amazing.
- Swedish Massage: This part was all about long, flowing strokes. It was super relaxing and helped me de-stress big time.
- Shiatsu Massage: Then she moved on to Shiatsu, which is more about applying pressure to specific points on the body. It felt a bit intense at times, but in a good way. Like she was really getting into those deep tissues.
She used her hands, elbows, and even her forearms at some points. I could feel her targeting those pressure points, and it was like she was unlocking all this built-up tension. She asked me a few times if the pressure was okay, which I appreciated. I like a firm massage, so I told her to keep going, and she did.

The whole session lasted about an hour, and by the end of it, I felt like a new person. Seriously, I was so relaxed and at ease. My muscles felt loose, and my mind was clear. It was exactly what I needed after a long week.
After the massage, she gave me a cup of hot tea, which was a nice touch. I sat there for a few minutes, just enjoying the afterglow of the massage. Then I got dressed, paid at the front desk, and left a nice tip because she really deserved it.
Final thoughts
Honestly, my experience at Viva Spa & Asian Massage was top-notch. From the friendly staff to the skilled masseuse, everything was on point. If you’re ever in Vegas and need to unwind, I highly recommend checking this place out. It’s a little slice of heaven in the middle of the city. I’ll definitely be going back there again soon.
If you find a good place close to the strip or the airport, just go and give it a try. You’ll be loving it!
