Okay, so, I wanted to get into this whole high heel knee boots thing. I saw them all over my Instagram feed, and they looked so cool, but I was a bit scared, to be honest. I mean, I’m not exactly a fashion model, you know? But I really liked the look, so I decided to give it a try.

First, I went online to do some research. I read a bunch of articles and looked at tons of pictures. Some of them said these boots were super versatile, others were all about how to find the perfect fit. I even found this one article that was like, “These boots will stay in your wardrobe forever!” Forever, huh? We’ll see about that.
Then I started shopping. I checked out a few different stores online. There were so many styles! Wide calf, combat, flat, you name it. And the colors! I was mostly interested in black, though. Classic, right?
I remembered reading something about shaft height, which is apparently super important. It said that if you’re tall, you might want boots that go up to mid-thigh. Since I’m kind of short, I figured I should look for something that hits just above the knee. The article also said that if you can’t bend your knee easily, the boots are probably too tall. Good to know, because I definitely need to be able to sit down.
After a lot of browsing, I finally found a pair that I liked. They were black, with a nice chunky heel, and they looked like they would hit just above my knee. I double-checked the size chart and ordered them. Fingers crossed!
When the boots arrived, I was so excited! I tried them on right away. They fit perfectly! I walked around my apartment in them, feeling like a total rockstar. I even did a little dance in front of the mirror. Don’t judge me.

Now, the real test: wearing them out in public. I decided to wear them to a casual dinner with friends. I paired them with a simple black dress, and I have to say, I felt pretty good. I got a few compliments, which was a nice bonus.
- Casual Day Out: I wore the boots with jeans and a cozy sweater. It was a comfortable, but still stylish, look.
- Night Out: I tried them with a leather skirt and a fancy top. This was a bit more daring, but I think it worked.
- Work Event: I even wore them to a work event with a nice pair of pants and a blazer. I was a little worried that they might be too much, but I think I pulled it off.
My Styling Attempts:
Honestly, I was surprised by how much I liked wearing these boots. They were way more comfortable than I expected, and they made me feel confident and stylish. I guess those articles were right. Maybe these boots will be in my wardrobe forever after all.
So, if you’re thinking about trying out high heel knee boots, I say go for it! Just remember to find a pair that fits you well and that you feel comfortable in. And don’t be afraid to experiment with different outfits. You might be surprised by how much you like them.
