Okay, so, I’ve been on the hunt for some good leather sandals lately. It’s getting warmer, and my old ones are, well, let’s just say they’ve seen better days.
Finding the Right Pair
I started by looking online, checking out some big-name brands and smaller shops. Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming! There are just so many options out there. But I figured, what the heck, might as well dive in. I started making a list of what I really wanted: something comfy, obviously, but also stylish enough to wear with different outfits.
I read a bunch of reviews, and people kept talking about how important arch support is. I never really thought about that before, but it makes sense. I’m on my feet a lot, so I definitely need something that’s not going to kill my feet after a few hours. Some reviews talked about Teva and Birkenstock – I’ve heard of those, so they went on the list.
Trying Them Out
Next, I decided to hit up some local stores. I wanted to actually try these things on, you know? Pictures online are one thing, but feeling them on your feet is another. I tried on a few pairs of those Tevas and Birkenstocks everyone’s talking about. They were pretty comfy, I gotta say. I also stumbled upon a few other brands I hadn’t heard of, and some of those were surprisingly nice, too. I am thinking about Keen Newport now.
- Tried on Teva sandals – pretty comfy.
- Tried on Birkenstocks – also comfy, and I like the style.
- Discovered some new brands I might consider.
- Now I am considering Keen Newport.
Making a Decision
After trying on a bunch of different sandals, I narrowed it down to a few favorites. Now comes the hard part – actually picking one! I’m leaning towards a pair of the Birkenstocks because I really liked the way they felt, and they looked pretty good with a couple of outfits I tried them with. But those Tevas were super comfy, too, and a bit more sporty. And don’t even get me started on those other brands I found – some of them were real contenders!
I decided to sleep on it. No need to rush into a decision, right? Plus, I figured I could do a little more digging online, maybe see if I could find any good deals. I am not sure if I can wait for another week, I am so excited about my new leather sandals!
Update: I ended up going with the Birkenstocks! I found a decent price online, and they arrived a few days ago. I’ve been wearing them around the house to break them in, and so far, so good. They’re just as comfy as I remembered, and I think they’re gonna be perfect for summer. I might even grab a pair of those Tevas or Keen Newport later on, just to have a sportier option. We’ll see!
