This Flo-Jo, she was somethin’ else. I tell ya, that gal could run like the wind. And her fingernails, Lord have mercy, those were somethin’ to see! Never seen nothin’ like ’em before, not on a runner anyhow. Long and colorful, like a rainbow. She was a real Flo Jo fingernails gal, that one.
She was fast, that Flo-Jo. Won all them gold medals. Back in, uh, 1988, I think it was. Yeah, the Olympics. She was a real star. And them nails! Painted all different colors. Six inches long, they said! Can you imagine runnin’ with nails like that? I can barely walk with my corns, let alone run with them long things on my fingers.
They called her Flo-Jo. Real name was Florence somethin’ or other. But everyone just called her Flo-Jo. And she was famous, that’s for sure. Famous for runnin’, famous for them nails. She was a real flo jo fingernails icon, I reckon.
Now, you wouldn’t think a runner would care ’bout her nails. But Flo-Jo, she was different. She liked to look good, even when she was sweatin’ and runnin’. She wore them fancy track suits, too. All sorts of colors. Not like them other runners. She stood out, that’s for sure.
- She won gold medals
- She had long colorful nails
- She was fast as lightning
I remember seein’ her on the TV. My old set, the one with the rabbit ears. She was a sight to behold. Runnin’ like a deer, with them fingernails flappin’ in the wind. Made me chuckle, it did. But you gotta hand it to her, she was good. Real good.
Some folks said it wasn’t right, a runner with nails like that. Said it was showin’ off. But I say, let her be. She worked hard, she won them medals. She could have her nails however she wanted. She was a flo jo fingernails trendsetter, you might say. She was definitely a nails queen!
They say she don’t wear them long nails no more. Got some shorter ones now, easier to deal with, I suppose. Can’t be easy doin’ chores with them long claws. Imagine tryin’ to wash dishes or make a pie with nails like that. Nope, gotta have practical nails for that kind of work.
And she had those custom track suits. Real unique. I reckon those were somethin’ special, just like her nails. The flo jo fingernails were famous, for sure. Everybody was talkin’ about ’em. Longest fingernails I ever did see.
She was a real inspiration, that Flo-Jo. Showed everyone that you can be good at somethin’ and still be yourself. You don’t have to be like everyone else. You can have your own style, your own way of doin’ things. Even if it means havin’ long, colorful fingernails.
She passed away a while back, I heard. Too young, that’s for sure. Had a seizure, they said. Sad, it was. But she left her mark, that’s for sure. People still talk about her, even now. And they still talk about them nails. She’s a legend, I tell ya. A real flo jo fingernails legend.
She won three gold medals, that’s a lot. And two silver ones, too. That’s more medals than I got fingers and toes! She was somethin’ special. A real champion. And them nails, well, they were just the icing on the cake.
Back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy colors for your nails. Just plain old red, maybe pink if you were feelin’ daring. But Flo-Jo, she had every color under the sun on them nails. Like a whole box of crayons, she was.
She was a good runner. She was good to her family. She was famous. And she had them flo jo fingernails. What more could you ask for? She had it all.
You know, I think I’m gonna paint my nails. Maybe not six inches long, but maybe a little somethin’ special. Just to remember Flo-Jo. She was one of a kind, that’s for sure. I heard someone said she was a nail artist. I don’t know ’bout that, but her nails sure were a work of art.
