Alright, so today I wanna share my experience with Dr. Dana Busch, an AME located in Waterford. I heard about him from someone, and decided to give him a try. To be honest, at first, I thought maybe this guy’s gonna be just like other doctors, always in a rush, but boy was I wrong.

First thing I did was call his office. The number’s 248-674-4110, pretty easy to remember. They were super friendly on the phone and scheduled me in. His office is at 5624 Highland Rd, Waterford, which was convenient enough for me.
When the appointment day rolled around, I drove over to his office. I walked in, handed over my driver’s license, and filled out some standard forms. Nothing out of the ordinary there. But then, things got interesting.
I was taken to the examination room. Dr. Busch came in shortly after, and let me tell you, this guy’s got a presence. He’s been doing this for like 30 years, so he’s got that experienced vibe, you know?
- He started with the usual checks:
He did some basic physical checks, went through my medical history, asked a bunch of questions. I mean, the guy was thorough.
What really stood out to me was how he took his time. He wasn’t rushing through anything, explaining things as he went. It felt like he genuinely cared, which is a rare thing these days. It is said that he graduated from Ferris State University, although I didn’t ask him about it.

After the check-up, we sat down and he went over everything with me. He explained what he was looking for, what everything meant, and what my next steps should be. It wasn’t just a “you’re fine, see ya” kind of deal. He made sure I understood everything before I left.
My Impression
Honestly, I was impressed. Getting a medical exam, especially for aviation, can be nerve-wracking, but Dr. Busch made the whole process smooth and stress-free. It’s clear he knows his stuff, and he’s got that calm, reassuring demeanor that puts you at ease.
So, if you’re in the Waterford area and need an AME, I’d definitely recommend Dr. Dana Busch. He’s experienced, thorough, and actually takes the time to talk to you like a human being. I walked out of there feeling confident and well taken care of. Two thumbs up from me.
That’s my story. Hope it helps someone out there. It’s always good to find a doctor who knows their stuff and treats you right. I know I’ll be going back to him for my next exam, no doubt about it.
Anyway, that’s my two cents. Just wanted to share my experience. Take care, folks!
