Okay, so, today I want to talk about something a little different from my usual stuff – Charli XCX’s outfits. You know, I’ve been following her for a while now, since like, 2013, when she dropped her first album. Now it’s 2024 and she’s totally killing it with her fashion game, especially during the “Sweat Tour” with Troye Sivan. I got inspired and wanted to try to recreate her vibe. Here’s what I did.
First off, I spent some time scrolling through her Instagram and some fan pages. Charli’s style is like, this cool mix of glam, grunge, and just straight-up “I don’t care” attitude. It’s awesome. She loves mesh, she loves bold colors like this brat green, and she’s not afraid to mix and match different styles.
Getting the Basics
After getting a good idea of her style, I started looking for some basic pieces. Here’s what I gathered:
- Mesh tops: I found a couple of cool mesh tops online. They’re kinda see-through, which is totally Charli.
- Brat green: This color is everywhere in her outfits. I picked up a brat green bralette and a skirt to match.
- Mini dresses: Charli loves a good mini dress. I managed to find a barely-there mini dress that’s super cute.
- Denim Bermuda shorts: I saw her wearing these and thought they looked cool, so I grabbed a pair.
- Fuzzy coat: For a bit of that glam touch, I got a fuzzy coat. It’s kinda extra, but it works.
Putting It Together
Once I had all the pieces, it was time to put some outfits together. I tried a few different combinations. Like, I paired a mesh top with the brat green bralette and the denim Bermuda shorts. It’s a bit edgy and feels very Charli. I also tried the mini dress with the fuzzy coat for a more dressed-up look.
I also experimented with some Y2K and rave-inspired pieces. Charli’s style has a bit of that vibe, so I added some chunky sneakers and a graphic tee to the mix. It’s fun and playful, just like her music.
The Final Look
After trying out different combinations, I ended up with a few outfits that I really liked. They capture Charli’s bold and eclectic style without breaking the bank. I even took some photos to document the process, just like she does on her Instagram. It’s pretty cool to see how a few key pieces can create such a distinct look. Also, I posted these outfits on my instagram.
So yeah, that’s my little experiment with Charli XCX’s style. It was a lot of fun stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something new. If you’re a fan of Charli or just looking to spice up your wardrobe, I definitely recommend giving this a try. You might surprise yourself with what you can come up with!
