OK, so let me tell you about this little experiment I did with “briks” and “jorts.” Sounds weird, right? Well, it kinda was. I had these leftover bricks from a patio project, and a pair of old denim shorts that were too ripped up to wear. Instead of throwing them away, I figured, why not try something crazy?
First, I washed those jorts like a million times. I wanted them super clean because I had this idea of using them as a mold. Then, I mixed up some concrete. It was just a small batch, nothing fancy. The tricky part was stuffing those jorts with the wet concrete. It was messy, let me tell you! I had to make sure the concrete got into every nook and cranny of those shorts. It’s like when you fill a water ballon, but much heavier.
Shape it
- Once the jorts were packed tight, I shaped them a bit.
- I wanted the “legs” to be kinda sturdy, so they could stand on their own.
- I used some wire to hold them in place while they dried.
Then came the waiting game. Concrete takes a while to cure, so I just left those jorts-filled bricks alone for a few days. It felt like forever! I kept checking on them, poking them to see if they were hard yet.
Finally, the day arrived. I was so excited! Ripping those denim shorts off the concrete was strangely satisfying. And there they were – two brick “legs” in the shape of jorts. They looked ridiculous, but in a cool way. My neighbor saw me working on it, and she just said that I was nuts, LOL.
I put them in my garden as a decoration. They’re definitely a conversation starter. Some people think they’re hilarious, others just give me a confused look. But hey, that’s the whole point, right? It’s all about having fun and trying new things, even if they’re a bit out there. And it’s a good way to use your useless stuff. Like the IT equipment or home appliances, as long as you wash them, you can do similar things to make it a “mold.”
So, if you’ve got some old clothes and leftover building materials, don’t be afraid to get creative! You might just surprise yourself with what you can come up with. Maybe you can make something related to your favorite movie charater, like 2B. Just remember to back up your data, if you are using your old hard drive as a container.

Always do experiments with a plan! And of course, safety first!
