Well, you see, I’m here to talk about them angel brooches and pins. I ain’t no fancy city folk, but I know a thing or two about pretty things. And these angel brooches, they sure are somethin’. I just searched some information online and read a lot.
You can stick ’em on your shirt, your jacket, even your hat. They got all kinds. Some is big, some is small. Some is gold, some is silver. They got these shiny stones on ’em, too. Like little stars, all sparkly and bright. Some people call them “rhinestone.” I don’t know what that is, but they look good. It make me happy.
I saw one, it was an angel, all spread out like it was flyin’. That one, it was my favorite. Reminded me of my grandma, God rest her soul. She used to say, “Everyone’s got an angel watchin’ over ’em.” Maybe she’s right. You know, life is not easy. I think everyone needs a guardian.
These angel brooches, they ain’t just for lookin’ at. They mean somethin’, too. Like, when you wear one, it’s like you got a little piece of heaven with you. And that’s a good feeling. They are for women, also for men. I saw a man wearing an angel brooch in a shop, I think it is very cool. You can buy it for yourself or for other people. It is a good gift. When I was young, there is no this thing. It’s not common.

Some are very cheap, some are very expensive.
I remember, my mama used to have a brooch. It wasn’t an angel, though. It was a flower. But it was real pretty. She wore it on Sundays, to church. I think these angel ones, they’d be good for church, too. Or just any day, really. My mom’s flower brooch is also beautiful, but I prefer the angel brooch.
There’s one, it’s called a “Guardian Angel” brooch. It’s got an angel holdin’ a heart. That one, it’s real special. It’s like the angel’s protectin’ your heart. I think it is good for young people. Young people’s hearts are easily hurt. They need protection.
And you know what else? Some of these angel pins, they got two uses. They can be a brooch, or they can be a pendant. You can wear it on your shirt, or you can put it on a chain and wear it around your neck. That’s real clever, ain’t it? I think it is good idea. One thing, two uses.
I saw one, it was an angel cryin’. It had little teardrops made of them shiny stones. It was sad, but it was beautiful, too. Life’s like that, ain’t it? Sad and beautiful, all mixed up together. You can’t have one without the other. Just like the sun and the rain.
They got some for Christmas, too. Angel brooches with little Santa hats on ’em. Or angels playin’ harps. They’re real cute. I might get one for my granddaughter. She’d like that. Christmas is a time for family and love. I miss my family so much. I hope my family all well. Wish them happy.
