Alright, let’s talk about them Adidas Bape Camo shoes, you know, the ones with the monkey face and all that. I seen ’em at the store the other day, kinda caught my eye, all them colors and such. I ain’t no expert, mind you, just tellin’ it like I see it.
First off, these shoes, they got this camo pattern, like the army guys wear, but way fancier. Greens and browns and blacks, all mixed up. Some of ’em even got that shiny stuff, makes ’em look all slick. My grandson, he’d like that, I reckon. He’s always wearin’ stuff that shines, says it makes him look “cool”. Kids these days, I tell ya.
Now, the Adidas part, that’s the three stripes, right? Everybody knows them stripes. They been around forever. My old man used to wear Adidas shoes, said they were good for workin’ in the fields. These Bape ones though, they ain’t for workin’ in no fields, that’s for sure. Too pretty, too fancy. You’d get ’em all muddy and messed up.
- They got different colors, I seen green, brown, even some kinda blue.
- Some got that monkey face on ’em, real big and bold. My neighbor’s kid, he calls it a “Bape” head.
- And the soles, they’re kinda thick, look like they’d be comfortable to walk in. Not like them old hard shoes I used to wear.
This Bape fella, the one who makes the monkey face, he’s from Japan, I heard. Japan, that’s way over yonder, across the ocean. They make all kinds of fancy stuff over there, electronics and cars and now these shoes. He started this whole thing back in the 90s, long time ago. My kids were just little tykes back then.
They say these shoes are “streetwear”, whatever that means. Guess it means you wear ’em on the street, huh? Not to church, not to a weddin’, just walkin’ around town. Makes sense, I guess. They’re too flashy for anything else. You’d stick out like a sore thumb at the bingo hall wearin’ them.
The price, well, that’s another story. These ain’t no cheap shoes, let me tell ya. Heard they cost a pretty penny, some of ’em more than others. Depends on the color, the style, and if they got that monkey face real big or just a little one. My daughter-in-law, she’s always buyin’ expensive shoes, says it makes her feel good. I tell her, good shoes don’t make you good, but she don’t listen.
You can buy these Adidas Bape Camo shoes at the Adidas store, or online, I guess. Everything’s online these days. My grandson, he buys everything online, even his groceries. Can you believe that? Groceries! I like to go to the store, see what I’m buyin’, squeeze the tomatoes, you know? But these young folks, they just click a button and it shows up at the door. Magic, I tell ya, pure magic.
They even got special edition ones, for anniversaries and such. Like that 30th-anniversary one, green camo, they say it’s got a leathery feel. Leather, huh? That’s supposed to be good, I guess. My old purse is leather, had it for years. Sturdy stuff, leather.
So, are these Adidas Bape Camo shoes worth the money? I don’t know, depends on what you’re lookin’ for. If you want comfy shoes, go get yourself some sneakers. If you want fancy shoes, to show off and impress folks, well, these might be for you. Me, I’ll stick to my old comfy shoes, thank you very much. But I ain’t gonna lie, them camo ones, they do look kinda snazzy.
Adidas and Bape, they been workin’ together for a while now, makin’ all kinds of shoes and clothes. They’re both famous, I hear. Streetwear staples, they call it. Staples? Like what you use to hold papers together? These youngsters and their fancy words, I swear.
Anyway, that’s the long and short of it. Adidas Bape Camo shoes. Fancy, expensive, and probably comfy enough. If you got the money and you like the look, go for it. Me? I’ll just admire ‘em from afar. Maybe buy a pair for my grandson, if he’s real good. But don’t tell him I said that.
