Okay, so I’ve been meaning to spruce up my apartment lately, and I finally took the plunge and visited the Crate & Barrel at 611 Broadway. You know, the one that’s been there for like, forever? I heard they might be moving soon. I don’t know whether it is true or not, but it’s such a landmark.
I woke up early on a Saturday, grabbed a coffee, and hopped on the subway. The store wasn’t too crowded when I got there, which was nice. I wandered around, just browsing. They have so much stuff, it’s kind of overwhelming, but in a good way, you know? Everything is just so stylish and well-made.
- I spent a good chunk of time in the living room section.
- Checked the sofa, but I didn’t buy it. They looked so comfy.
- I saw a few coffee tables that I really liked, too. They had this one with a marble top that was gorgeous, but probably way out of my price range.
Then I headed over to the kitchen area. Oh boy, that was dangerous. They had everything from pots and pans to fancy gadgets I didn’t even know I needed. I almost bought a new set of knives, but I talked myself out of it. For now, at least. I did, however, grab a few cute little bowls and some new wine glasses. I’ve been meaning to replace my old ones, and these were just perfect.
I also checked out their bedroom furniture. It is so simple, colorful, elegant, and affordable. I really loved it. One of my friend had a bar from here, and I always want to buy one.
After a couple of hours, I finally made my way to the checkout. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better.
My little trip to Crate & Barrel was a success.
I ended up finding some great pieces for my apartment, and I didn’t even break the bank. Plus, it was just fun to wander around and get inspired. I’ll definitely be back, maybe sooner rather than later, especially if I hear they’re moving.
